This is a really cool knife. The indentations along the side a really cool. It reminds me of a choppy ocean. The Damascus layering is not as noticeable as it appears in the images but they are there. The handle is solid. It's definitely a quality chef knife with good weight to it, making cutting solid and easy. It come sharp so be careful with handling it, including when cleaning it.

Excellent Santoku, Arrived late but the knife is a pleasure. I read many reviews before purchased and the positive ones hold true. A couple different people said the blade rusts easily, that is probably because they didn't dry the knife properly. Another said they are not Damascus steel, but rather just etched to look like layered Damascus. Untrue, they are Damascus steel. I am pleased with the weight distribution and have no reason to doubt this knife will be very useful to me. I was actually looking for a 6" Santoku but a quality one seems to be hard to find. I am thinking this 7" length will suffice.

I bought these for my husband and he loves them!! They fit nice in his hand and are very sharp. They were recommend to me by a friend, male, that already had the knifes and like them so much he gave them as a gift at a yankee swap.

BE AWARE IT IS RAINDROP PATTERN BUT THE ETCHING IS VERY FAINT . SO THE BLADE IS ALL SILVER AND YOU HAVE TO LOOK HARD TO SEE THE PATTERN .

Awesome knife. Would recommend it and it very sharp. The handle is comfortable and the price for the whole set is worth it.

This Japanese knife is amazing! It’s incredibly sharp, well-balanced, and feels great in the hand. It makes cutting and prepping food so much easier and more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone serious about cooking
