CasioIlluminator Tide Graph Moon Phase 10-Year Battery Digital Watch

Casio is known for their great watches at cost-effective prices and they did not disappoint with this watch. It will show you the current moon phase and the current tide in your area (after you set it up). The watch comes in resin with faux "screws" on the front bezel, including a protruding top and bottom, much like their G-Shock line. While the watch isn't at the G-Shock level, it's certainly a durable resin watch that sits comfortably on your wrist. Because it's resin, it's light weight even though it has a relatively large case. The digits are decently sized and legible. The illumination on the watch at night is sufficient to read the time at the bottom of the display, which is where the two LED lights are placed (left and right bottom).In addition to the tide and moon phase, this watch also includes a stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm, hourly signal, and dual-time (world time). It also has an analog-like circular clock on the top right for effect. This watch is also the same size as the Casio AE1200 (known by many as the "Casio Royale") so you can swap out the module inside the case between the two watches. Instead of doing this, I purchased an after-market case and bracelet and installed the module in it. Now I have a stainless steel case and bracelet with a sapphire crystal. I look forward to having this watch for many years to come.If you are looking to add another watch to your collection or you're looking for your first watch and you don't care as much about world-time but want a similar design to the Casio AE1200 and think knowing the moon phases and tides would just be icing on the top, this is the one.I would highly recommend this watch. Great outdoor watch, shows tide and moon phase's, works great in salt and fresh water. Light is bright, fits well, ease to use, great value for price, quick delivery.

I’m completely satisfied with this watch. It’s rugged, packed with useful features like tide graph and moon phase, and delivers the precision Casio is known for. The brand continues to maintain high quality in every model, and this one is no exception. Highly recommended.

Coolest part about this watch is that it is not sold in many countries and it is sought after by many Casio geeks. (Which I am one.) Also many great features and durable. I like the grey but any color looks great. Only thing I don't like is the placement of the buttons but that is just me and I rarely push the buttons... so maybe I am just being a spaz.

I like the watch - the ten year battery, tide (approximate) indicator, and other features are helpful and interesting. My main gripe is the instructions. They include one, tiny booklet in multiple languages, with a font so small that even my regular reading glasses aren’t strong enough to comfortably figure out how this marvel works. The multiple language booklet is also sub optimal. It may not seem like much, but this is just one manual of hundreds which I keep on file. Keeping four or five times as much as i need adds up after a while. Would it be so difficult to include a set of instructions with a reasonable sized font, and maybe separate instructions for the other languages so I can just pitch the ones I don’t need?

I bought this model with the intention of modding it. Easy to do since the module shares the same dimensions with the AE1200.This module has great functionality, but I wasn't super thrilled at the bulky size of the case. The buttons were a little stiff too. Anyway with a better case, crystal and strap it's super comfortable and really levels up the user experience.I usually stick to solar and mechanical watches. However the 10 year battery life, retro styling and functionality really drew me in. No regrets. I'm really enjoying it.Also if you're worried about the instructions just watch a youtube review video. Seems easier than thumbing through the tiny manual.

Have taken it surfing a few times now, display is exactly what you see there. It’s quite effective and reliable. Easy to read, screen use bright when you need. Fit well but it is on the thicker side as watches go, that said fits both on and under a wetsuit without leaks!
