Port AuthoritySoft Shell Vest (L325)

This jacket is perfect for what I need it for. If you do buy them, make sure to check the size. The material is excellent, and it is a very stylish jacket. It doesn't wrinkle much.Two zip pockets, and two pockets inside, so I really like it.Packaging: I noticed that it doesn't have any tags or descriptions for the item enclosed, but I am happy with the buy. It is not too important for me.I bought two sizes, as I usually buy Small and extra small for my clothes as sometimes I want to wear clothes either a bit tight or loose, but their extra small is way too small for my petite frame. It didn't fit me at all. So, I figure their sizing runs smaller than other brands.I returned the extra small as it didn't fit, and this company refunded both jackets. I didn't request a refund for both, just for one. I placed two individual orders, but they were lumped together; not sure why but they ended up refunding both.They have not reached out to me to write a review on their behalf, but this review is my own. I love the jacket which is the Small size.I feel bad that they refunded both as I only asked for a refund for the extra-small.Would I buy again from them? Yes, I would.I hope this review is helpful.

Love these vests. I've had them for years. They last forever, but they do run small, so size up one size. They are warm and block the wind.

Once again, Port Authority comes through with a win for my embroidery shop. Love the look and feel of this shell vest. Things to keep in mind - I gave this a 4 star review as this vest is significantly smaller across the bust than the Value Fleece or Puffy Vest measurements. I am an XL but, um, rather busty - no other way around saying that one, ladies. The XL fit great at my hips, length wise and at the shoulders. Unfortunately, the bust is horribly tight for me. Recommend you check and measure your bust size for your regular size before ordering. While the other vests/jackets all have larger bust measurements for the XL, this one does not. I'd need a 2XL in this beauty. I'll likely gift this one to my daughter if I can't exchange it. For embroiderers who want to know if this shell features the port pocket, the answer is NO. However, the interior of the vest is like a microfiber fleece. A good stabilizer, as done on the microfiber fleece jackets will do you well.

I'm really pleased with this streamlined, elegant-looking vest. I've got several of the plush Columbia vests, but wanted a black one that wasn't so bulky. This Port Authority vest is exactly and precisely what I was looking for.It's always a challenge (and crapshoot) to buy clothes online, without being able to try them on or even feel the fabric, but this vest worked out SUPER. It's got a polished cotton type outter material, with softer lining. The zip pockets are completely inobtrusive - there's nothing that bulges or sticks out at all, so the vest gives me a super slenderizing look. Plus it repels moisture if you happen to spill something on it. Just quickly wipe it off, and you'd never guess you'd gotten it wet at all.I've washed this, and it hangs dry to perfection, ready to wear again. Black is a color that can be worn with ANY other, so it gets a lot of use in my wardrobe. It can be layered with heavier wool tops in winter, or lightweight long or shot-sleeved tops in other seasons.

First off I want to say I own several Port Authority Women's Core Soft Shell Vests and just love them. I belong to two different Southern Calif. Yacht clubs and they carry the Port Authority brand of garments in their ships stores with their respective yacht club’s logo on them, so I’m very familiar with this brand and specifically this exact vest, (one of which I just purchased this Spring 2019 at LBYC). I love, love these vests and jackets, they wash and wear and still look brand new!I wanted the same vest but without any logo on it. So, I found it on Amazon, and ordered the Port Authority Women's Core Soft Shell Vest in Navy in a Women’s XL, Style L325 JUST like the ones I already own. I was so excited it was the same brand, size and even the exact style number, L325 as written on the inside tag of my vests. What could go wrong (even though I couldn’t try it on), it seemed like a no brainer right? Wrong! I just received it and at first it appeared to be exactly what I wanted, brand, size, color, material, finish, and same style number L325 on the inside tag. Yea! Right? Noooo, this vest fits like it should be marked a Medium or a Large at the very least. It is so, so tight especially across the bust (and I do not have a big bust). I thought this can’t be, so I double checked everything and all was as it should be except this one is way too small! I have no choice but to return it.I’m writing this review to make other buyers, the vendor, and Amazon aware of a possible size problem. As other reviewers noted this vest runs small and that’s a great heads up for new buyers, but I’m not new to Port Authority products and specifically this vest, so something else is wrong. Who wants to spend time finding what they want, ordering it, getting it, and then having the hassle and someone’s expense of returning it because the size is so way off. Clothing manufactures and sellers go to a lot of trouble to describe their respective sizing to mitigate these types of returns and not lose customers.This vest should have fit like all the others I own. I’m not sure what this means regarding the Port Authority products being sold by this vendor VeeTrends, or is this a Port Authority size chart problem in general? Is this vendor aware of the size/fit problem, are these miss-marked? Are other vendors experiencing the same issue and returns? Maybe Port Authority has changed something, (very recently) regarding their size chart? I’m not sure what to do, have it replaced with another XL and see if it fits properly or just return it and order it elsewhere? I shouldn’t have to order a XXL since I own 4 of these exact vests in XL that fit just fine. Also, as a side note, I ordered the EXACT same vest in Black at the same time I ordered this Navy vest and I thought they both were coming from Port Authority, or at least the same vendor. However, the black vest is shipping from a different vendor not VeeTrends for some reason, I did not pick the vendors, Amazon did, we will see how that one measures up to compare. To be continued….By the way, everything else regarding this purchase was great! Other than the size issue the vest was high quality, just as I expected and just like the ones I have. Delivery and packaging by the vendor was perfect and I would give all that 5+ stars.

I use this vest for work and it definitely gets the job done. The hospital gets cold at night so it keeps me warm. Only issue is that it runs small around the chest. Size up! Maybe even two sizes for the ladies.

I have owned Port Authority Soft Shell Vests in the past and this one ran WAY too small. It also came with no Tags, and not in a clear product bag as they usually do. It came in a white Amazon Bag, but not in a separate bag inside with no Product Tags which leads me to believe it was not "new". I returned this item due to these issues as well as it being way too small for a medium. I usually wear sm/md and this was more like an XS.

Material is nice but I ordered a XXL and it fits smaller than my other XL vest of the same design

I love it. I ordered a large based on reviews. Fits great. I will be using it for running and over my scrubs. Very warm.
