I wish they said what size taps come with the kit, it's not 5/16" but 1/4" holes worked for me. Other than trial and error for the hole size, everything is great! The bags are larger than 1 gallon but not sure exact volume. I drilled holes in the caps to run the tubing through and it works just fine. I needed everything in a kit to start collecting sap in a hurry and this fit the bill. If it came with a drill bit or if they told me the correct bit size it would have been 5 stars.
