An excellent machinist's aid.
This has not only made alignment of my lathe faster and more easy, bot also makes alignment of my 3-jaw chuck extremely easy and fast when mounting on my rotory milling table.

Mt1 test bar
I can use it fine, max .001 total run out is all I need. from the straight round to the taper. Better than I could make one!

GOOD STUFF
being the price that It is, I was expecting it to be a little bit out. I was flabbergasted to realize, that this thing was perfectly true. from tip to tail, dead nuts. I would totally give it five stars. BUT, it did come in some cheap cardboard box, that by the Grace of God, managed to survive the trip from india to Pennsylvania in one piece. better shipping is definitly necessary for a precision instrument like this. I would gladly pay an extra 10 dollars for a plastic and foam storage case. but, all that said. it works as advertised, and is true to size.

Straight and true
Used it to check my tail stock for being parallel to the ways on my Craftsman 101 metal lathe.

Not within advertised tolerance
Seems someone got a little too happy with the grinder leaving a 0.0035 low area near the far end. Thats far outside the advertised tolerance and makes the tool fairly useless for leveling and tailstock alignment.

Forget about the nice plastic tube, there isn't one. Minimal protection for a measuring device
I got my 1st one beat to pieces with barely any shipping protection, they sent the 2nd one...exactly the same way, a thin cardboard box in a bag, what do they expect is going to happen ?
