I made a cemetery arch out of sheets of 4x8' foam for halloween, and strung two of these inside using push in staples. They are so bright coming through the letters that it lights up the yard! You can pick exact colors (it takes a long time - you have to keep pressing the up and down arrows to go through every shade that exists). They truly are beautiful.The hookups are easy (but you do have to remember to look for the two arrows to plug it in the right direction!). Feels like quality materials. Worked will connecting 2. I didn't try cutting them.The remote does need to be used within inches of the strip. which is nice if you want two different colors and your plugs are right next to each other (just put your hand around one to block it).The biggest disappointment was that it has fabulous features like "fade" in and out, but you can't pick your own colors with them! Only the stock color line up ( I think it was rainbow, but I can't remember) works with anything but solid on. Sooooo sad. Still, I love these. I'd post a picture of my sign, but the leds are so dang bright that when I try to take a picture or video the camera turns it into a big bright blur and you can't see the beautiful hues. So not very photogenic.

UPDATE: Below is my previous review. That only lasted about 3 weeksI had to go with another product instead. After a few weeks, the remote stopped working. to turn them on and off I have to unplug and plug them back in, rather than just using the remote. None of the colors on the remote match with the colors that are produced. The power button makes them turn red. Half of the buttons don't work, and this was only after a few weeks. No way to fix it. Its practically garbage now. They were great for a short period. I have purchased another brand that has lasted over 8 months and is in perfect working condition. These are cheap________________ORIGINAL REVIEWI cant get over how much light these strips produce. I was worried it wouldn't be strong enough to give my bedroom the ambient light that it needed.Originally, I was using an $86 LED spot light that I was diffusing, until I found this product. I returned that light, and am going to buy ANOTHER one of these for the rest of my apartment. I LOVE IT.The strips come with adhesive on them, and seem to be sticking very well to the wood that my bed was built on.There are some inconsistancies, for example a small patch of the light strand might be a different color, but this is easy to fix, if you just tap the strand or change the color.For the price, you cant beat it.Buy this product!!! SO worth it!

TL:DR : Good product, the bad reviews are mostly 1. complaints about the adhesive but I am pretty sure they peeled off the wrong spot and took the adhesive strip off completely or 2. complaints about the buttons not working correctly which I am pretty sure is then not following the easy instructions of lining up the arrows on the control box and the LED strip.I started to peel the adhesive strip off on accident because the top layer is so thin it was very hard to peel up, even with a knife and tweezers, but other than that the product works great!The LEDs are a fair brightness, and it comes with about 4-5 different brightness levels if you want to dim them a bit, as well as many options for customizing your own patterns (Entire strip patterns, you can't change specific LEDs, only the entire strip).I was able to turn the LED strip fairly well in the corners after a lot of trial and error testing and was able to stretch it around 2 fairly long desks (It is 16 feet of LED after all).So Happy with the product I proceeded to purchase another of the 16 Ft., as well as one of the 2x16 Ft.The receiver and the power cable give about 2.5-3 Ft. of distance from the outlet to the LED strip (If pulled taut).(Just a reminder that the 2x16 Ft. comes with a single receiver so unless you already have another power cable + receiver combo ready you won't be able to put them in 2 separate locations, they will have to be next to each other.)

My daughter had this on her Christmas wish list for 2019. The item arrived nicely with easy to follow instructions.Lights worked great from the January till about end of Feb early March. Lights are super fun and cool with all the color lights options available. The control is light weight, easy to use, the lights went on nicely on the wall. Everything was great until they stopped working out of no where. We tried everything to trouble shoot the problem, bought several replacement batteries and even different brands for the control, we tried switching out thefuses or whatever they are called, nothing worked the lights just stopped working.Contacted the seller and after a few emails, they sent out a replacement. We installed the second set and only half of the strip lights worked. Whomp whomp whomp! Contacted the seller once again at this point they offered me a full refund. I am impressed by their customer service, these lights just were not meant to be for us, but what great customer service they have, wish more companies would do the same. If these work out for you, trust me you'll definitely enjoy them!Update June 2020:The company contacted me and sent me another set of lights and they are working great! Great customer service.
