This is value for money, no frills Ice Roller that works really well!It's very easy to fill as you just need to remove the little plug at the top so you can fill the roller with water then let it sit in the freezer until it's solid.It's made of a thick, soft feeling silicone that's very comfortable to hold and the silicone prevents your hand from getting too cold when you're using it.If you want to ensure that the actual ice is comfortable to use against your skin, you can run your hand over it until the ice is smooth or you can run it under warm water whilst rotating it.I like to use it in the morning as a wake-up for my skin, it does provide a tightening effect but this is temporary (as is any effect on the pores) as the result is only really going to last as long as your skin is cooled down. However, it certainly feels very refreshing to use and you can add different things to the water if you want it scented. Using essential oils could be possible but the oils may affect the silicone over time so I'd be a bit careful about using them.I think this Ice Roller will be absolutely fantastic in the summer and hot weather for cooling yourself down. The seal seems very tight and there's been no leaking so far but that's with me just taking it out of the freezer, using it and then putting it back in the freezer. If I was going to take the Ice Roller outside anywhere with me, I'd most likely put it in a ziploc bag just in case of any leaks if it got squashed or moved around inside a bag.On the whole, a super little Ice Roller that's a bargain at the price.

This is really easy to fill and it freezes well without leaking everywhere. I under-filled it to leave space for expansion, so it ended up with a flat top, but I think it would be fine if you filed it all the way. I left it for 5 minutes before opening, as it was sealed shut with ice at first. Was very easy to open at that point and the silicone does allow you to hold it without your hands freezing. The ice seems to last forever and is obviously very cooling. I've tried it with plain water, and a bit of serum in it and both worked well. You could definitely tell the difference.
