Great for trail cameras
Very nice cable. You can take an ammo box and drill a hole in it to get this cable thru and attach to a battery inside the waterproof box. I recommend 50 year rated clear silicone caulking around the cable at the hole to seal it. Then you can attach to the side of the tree or place on the ground or whatever. Attaching the other end to your trail camera should be simple.

Two in a Row Melted
I purchased a bunch of these to use on my cellular trail cameras. I had one where as soon as I hooked up the battery the barrel plug started to melt and smoke. I figured this was a one off. On a second one I did a continuity check and found there were no shorts. After assembling everything I checked once more before hooking the battery up. Again the wires were not shorted. I figured everything was good. Out in the field I went to hook the cord up and before I could I felt the metal sheathing was hot, scolding hot. The plug had again shorted itself. Previously I had built my own connectors, in the hundreds, this was supposed to be a shortcut to save money with a metal shielded cable and the plug pre-assembled. After the second one I opened it up to see what the issue might have been. The outside plastic insulation is incredibly thin. The wires inside that are shielded by very thin rubbery insulation and are likely 22 AWG. Not good quality and the thin insulation will break on even the slightest pull or pinch. I'm not running these hard at all and I have built hundreds of solar/lithium setups. I've never seen anything this low of quality.
