Does it have a fitted base

Hi, no it doesn't come with a base

What is the difference between the original raised grow bed and the extension?

Hi there, the original raised grow bed contains 4 black plastic sides which clip into each other to form a metre square raised bed. The extension kit contains 2 sides and fixings. So with both, you can create a 2m x 1m rectangular raised bed as is shown in this image. (6 sides total - 2 fix together to make each 2 metre length and one on each end. If you only bought the extension kit you couldn't make anything, it's only useful as an add-on to the original. Hope that helps.

Multifunctional

Actually using this and the basic bedding kit as a run for our tortoise outside on the lawn. For that purpose it is high enough, long enough and easy to move when cutting the lawn.
