In The Swim 20' x 40' Ultra Silver Rectangle Solar Pool Cover 16 Mil for Solar Heating Above Ground Pools and Inground Pools

I had no idea what I was buying. This cover is amazing! It is sturdy and well made. I haven’t had to clean the pool since I installed it four weeks ago. And I use to have to clean it twice a week. Water loss through evaporation simply doesn’t happen anymore. It has reduced my use of chemicals by more than half. I can’t express how much of a game changer this has been for us. If I could give more than five stars I would certainly do that. Oh yeah, it keeps the water warm too! Saving water, chemicals, and labor. What more can a pool owner ask? I highly recommend this product. You will be much happier if you also buy a system ($150) to roll it up, if you don’t it will be difficult to manage.

We have a big pool, about 18x40, which gets sun exposure 90% of the day, but no matter how hot it is outside, the water would still be cold. Not unpleasantly cold, it’s refreshing once you get used to it but it takes a while to get in and get used to it. And my 4 year old would be shivering after 20-30 mins. After using this cover for about 2 weeks, I decided to leave a review because it has exceeded my expectations. I can’t say how many degrees warmer the water is, but what I can say is that now, we can stay in the pool all day, even my little one, and we’ve gone swimming in the evening and the water felt warmer than air. Due to the size, I ended up getting a reel because moving it manually just got annoying, although doable, but overall I highly recommend this product. I don’t know how long it’ll last but based on the weight and durability, I expect it to last a few seasons for sure. Definitely beats the price of a real pool heater and its electric costs. We are extremely happy with this purchase.

The cover is good quality material, it was easy to put on my cover real and actually floats off the reel making is simple to put on and off. My only complaint would be it’s wider than my 16x32 pool so at the end of the season we will trim it down .

I think this will last for several years. The box arrived damaged, but the cover inside was fine. It did require some trimming (as do all of them) but overall it was a really good fit for ou 16' x 32' inground pool.

I like that this cover because it is cost effective. I have purchased many pool solar covers for my home in Los Angeles. Some were much more expensive than others. Even the thickest still break down long before their warranty date. The sun here in the summer is brutal. Now I buy the least expensive and usually get two seasons out of it if I am lucky. As soon as it starts breaking down I throw it out and get a new one the next season. This one heats the pool fast. Will it last three years? I don't think so. I'd rather buy this every year and save the money.

We like this solar pool cover! We bought the largest size, and I’m so glad we did! It was very easy to cut the cover to around the inside of the pool. The material is thick and feels like extremely durable. I definitely think it is worth the money we spent!

20x40 Solar Blanket was defective out of the box. Apparently when "welded" together during manufacture, the middle section was under greater tension - so middle section lays flat on water with outer sections so wavy that a slight breeze starts to lift the cover off of the pool. Manufacturing defect also resulted in 20' sides being concave, so length of cover is ~39' in the middle and ~41' toward edges.Seller refused to honor warranty, including gibberish that chemical expose and sun had damaged a cover that had been out of the shipping box for less than a day. Warranty communication from seller seemed to be computer / AI generated.

I bought a lighter cover this time , I found the heavier ones are hard to roll up and lift out of the pool. This cover may not last as long as a heavier one , but I’ve come to the decision that if a get two seasons at the lower cost , I’m good with that
