What can I say...exactly what I needed to make the repairs on this equipment.

Item arrived in perfect condition. Shrink wrapped. Smallest items in small zip lock bags in clear view box.

I bought these set screws because I needed one for a front door handle and did not know the correct size. It was an old door lock, and I knew it would be SAE and not metric. So, I was confident I would find the size I needed. The only negative is that the set screws are just a little soft, so be careful not to over tighten them or the tool will strip the head of the set screw. This is why I did not give it five stars. I did find the screw I needed, and it fit perfect.

The set screws marked 1/8-50 are actually 5-40.

The 5/16-18 screws in my kit were actually M8-1.25 metric. As noted by other reviews, some of the sizes do not match SAE convention. Any screw smaller than 1/4" should be identified by gauge, not fractional inch. I'll have to check the smaller sizes to see if they are also metric.

got me out of a fix

I'm always needing some set screws for different fabrication projects, so purchased this assorted set. The lengths are proper, hardness is adequate and they don't strip out the tool end when tightening. Price is fair.
