For more stubborn pieces you can always take your mat outside to shake it,but sometimes if you don't like carrying your mat downstairs and out into the cold,below is the tricks Step 1: Grab a tall kitchen bag,put your mat in it,and tie it closed at the top Step 2: Shake the bag vigorously. Smack the mat on the side a few times.Turn the mat face down and pat the backside IF a little cat pee has gotten on your mat,don't have to worry about it,this mat is water resistant (not waterproof).When that happens,the best way to clean the mat it is with water and soap to get the cat pee smell out. A little vinegar in the water can also help with the smell No more litter bits laying all around the floor - litter sticks to this mat due to it's special structure,the cat will feel very comfortable walking on it
