Nice set of lights with loads of effects available.I ordered (and received) the 'solar' version, and can confirm it arrived with the spike for mounting the solar panel (another reviewer reported this missing from their pack).The panel itself looks decent enough, and a little better than sometimes supplied with these sorts of kits. There is some power on arrival, so you can do a quick check to see if it comes to life after switching on. Just for info, you'll probably need to cover the solar panel (or leave it face down in the box) as it won't light up it senses too much ambient light (that's when it rests while recharging the battery).I'm not unravelling all the lights at this stage (waiting until Christmas where it will then be attached to a 'normal' tree in the back garden). It could of course be used indoors also, with the panel propped up against a window which has access to direct sunlight.The price is pretty competitive compared to similar (solar) versions of these lights, so no complaints there.On a quality/value-for-money basis... 5-Stars.

It’s impossible to set up like the picture without a pole included.

I thought I had ordered the solar-powered version of these lights, but I have the USB powered set instead. The listing suggest these can still be used outside, but the USB connector only reaches to the base of the hanging strands, so I can’t see how you would be able to safely connect to power for use and I therefore believe the non-solar version is for inside use only. Small tent pegs are included, but there isn’t a loop at the end of the strands, so you would need tie them yourself if you are able to safely use these outside.The set comes without any stand, so you need to have something to support it already and at the correct height. Tent pegs can’t be used inside, so attaching it in a tree shape will need ingenuity. I don’t have anywhere that this can be set up without a frame so, unless you do have a suitable stand, I would consider an alternative.

This is a lovely Christmas tree light silhouete set. The power panel is easy to use, on off, mode. It doesn't have a battery full range, but I don't think they are always necessary. It does have an indicator light.The lights have 8 modes, I think you have to figure out which is which, but I went straight for my favourite number 8 which is just usally 'on'. I was pleased it came with grass pegs. Also the light cable was thicker than I was expecting too.The function and quality is what I expected of this item before it arrived.

I have tested this unit in its box and the quality appears perfect certainly the solar powered charging panel looks super quality on the reverse of the unit you will see buttons which operates the various functions of the lights be it twinkling fading slow on slow off fast flash etcObviously this is a Christmas item so I Sean's be erecting it as yet but I will certainly recommend it as the quality looks superb the lights themselves are a warm white which look gold at night very festive and very highly recommended

arrived on time. at first inspection, I was concerned the small LED Lites wouldn't be very bright, but that isn't the case. very visible at night. The programs offer a variety of options. Indoor/ outdoor Lites but the plug controller/transformer is not. Mine is protected by a covered deck and works fine outdoors.
