Kretschmer Honey Crunch Wheatgerm - 11 oz (6 pack)

I have been using this flavor wheatgerm for 37 years and now find myself living in an area where it is not sold anywhere. I have asked 2 managers of 2 different grocery stores to order it for me and they said they couldn't. When I was in Florida a couple of years ago I bought every jar they had in the local grocery store just so I would have it for awhile. A few months ago I ran out and decided to see if it was on Amazon never imagining it actually was. I was so pleasantly suprised to find it here. Now I never have to worry about running out again! My son and I use this product to sprinkle on stew, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and macaroni salad. It adds a nice flavor and texture. It is a staple in my life just as much as pepper or ketchup.

I've always loved Kretschmer Honey Crunch Wheatgerm, not only from the standpoint of nutrition, but the taste, too. I put it on everything I eat!! From peanut butter sandwiches to yogurt to a bowl of cereal to ice cream. It's just yummy. I had start buying it online because a lot of grocery stores stopped stocking it. However, every place I looked online (including here) charged the same amount for shipping that it charged for the product itself which, in effect, meant that I would be paying twice the amount for it than normal. I just didn't think it was worth the extra bucks, but recently while shopping for a friend, I discovered that the really big Albertsons markets still DO stock it, so I am once again a very happy consumer.

Have never tried this product before and really love it. Sweeter than I expected. I sprinkle it on apple slices prior to dehydrating. Even my husband likes it as much as his cinnamon & sugar when used this way. I don't think he expected anything called "wheat germ" to taste this good.Delivered as promised well packaged with no damage.

We discovered Kretschmer Honey Crunch flavor wheatgerm during a vacation to Florida in 2011. However, that flavor is not available locally. Online is the only way we can obtain this flavor. It tastes better than the regular flavor on yogurt for breakfast. We will continue to buy this product online for the great flavor.

The stores around here quit carrying Honey Crunch Wheatgerm, so I turned to the great Amazon. Because I've got to have my Honey Crunch Wheatgerm fix in the mornings! I use it on cereal, yogart, toast with peanut butter. It adds crunch and more nutrition without altering the taste too much. What would I do without it--and so what would I do without Amazon?

Love this product. Have used it for over 15 years. Can't find it on grocery store shelves anymore and they won't special order it. Use it in yogurt, salads, baking recipes. Mix with melted butter to make a great cruncy topping for mac and cheese or other caseroles or vegetables.

I've been eating Kretschmer's Honey Crunch Wheatgerm for breakfast for nearly 40 years. I was extremely put out when my local grocery stores stopped offering it. I'm relieved that, for now anyway, I can find a source of supply online. With fruit and juice it makes a wonderful lite breakfast that is good for you.
