New Amazon Kindle Scribe Folio Cover with Magnetic Attach, Sleek Protective Case - Premium Leather

I received a kindle scribe for Christmas and bought this premium leather case. I waited about 4 weeks to write this review as I wanted to assess carefully as there are so many negative reviewers. I can say, I love this folio. The leather is great, it gets a few scratches but the few scratches gives it a rustic look that I like. I am very satisfied and would highly recommend. The magnet holds the kindle in place very well. I tried taking a picture with my phone but the picture made the case look way more scratchy ( must be the light) than it is

I don’t know that it’s worth the price, however it’s a good cover. The only thing I don’t love is that it’s only held on by magnetic backing so if you hold it by the folio only, the kindle can fall, and I’m curious if this magnet will lose attraction over time.

Easy to use. The mount design is my favorite part and the pen holder is snug.

I’m an obsessive note taker and this is a game changer for that!

Leather cases are my favorite due to them aging with time showing old fashion wrinkles, creases, scratch-like, color variation in a form of fading from aging so it makes it look like different shades of jade, it gives it character and an awesome quality to it❣️Love the vintage look 👀 I do clean it regularly when I use it often, and I also condition it with a leather product to restore it’s beauty 💯❣️🥰 See the beauty of the Emerald case in my pictures 😍 Matches to perfection 💯🥰

The media could not be loaded. I purchased the most expensive All New Kindle Scribe bundle, which included the new premium leather folio ($99.99). Unfortunately, both the New Kindle Scribe and the folio fell far short of expectations. It is not a MAY. It is definitely a WILL. As you can see with the first photo upon opening the box of the folio, there were already three pretty prominent scratches welcoming me. The person who packaged it couldn’t even avoid scratching it because it is impossible not to.After using the folio for a couple of hours (I said after a day of use in my video, but it’s actually after a couple of hours), I noticed there were numerous scratches that will not go away (see my photos). Who wants to pay $100 for a folio so worn out after a few hours?!As for the claim of being made from “supple premium leather,” I honestly don’t see it. The folio consists of a thin piece of leather over hard plastic, and the so-called “supple” surface has only the faintest suede-like or a slight velvety texture. It scratches, scuffs, and stains incredibly easily.Additionally, the leather dye is not colorfast, as another reviewer pointed out. I tested this myself by gently wiping the surface with a damp paper towel and a damp cotton cloth. The green color bled onto both. While this did reduce some of the light scratches, new ones inevitably form with use.To be fair, there are two things I like about the folio1. It is sleek and lightweight.2. The magnetic hold is strong, keeping the Kindle Scribe secure.However, at $100, these positives don’t outweigh the negatives. The leather feels so thin and fragile that it’s difficult to justify the cost—especially when no one would even know it’s leather unless they smelled it!In contrast, I just received a used black leather folio made for the previous Kindle Scribe for $27. It arrived in like-new condition (looks brand new to me) and doesn’t scratch at all as the so-called “premium” folio. Now, that’s a great deal!Ultimately, I gave the premium leather folio 2 stars. If you’re considering this product, save your money. It’s not worth it.
