Manic Panic Navy Blue Hair Dye, After Midnight, 4 oz

So I bought the midnight blue one and I think it looks good. So a couple of things ( My hair was already black and I was looking for a blue-black tint). Also my first experience -------- 1. IT DOES STAIN, SO MUCH! honesty, it is not a deal-breaker, but just be careful! Like it stains a lot, so be cautious before using, get gloves and have products to clean shower or bathtub 2. careful with scalp Not that easy to wash off, so really take your time. 3.it does work on dark hair Well, It worked on my black hair, OF COURSE, it is not that bright, but it is pretty good. 4. The very limited in quantity, so just be aware that it is not a lot But I will buy again and hopefully this helps

It actually conditions my hair, as they say! I don’t bleach my hair underneath this color, I actually put it on over a dark chocolate cherry dye I use on my whole head. I put this midnight blue dye on the bottom third of my hair on top of the chocolate cherry dye. This gives it a really nice, dark blue - almost dark purple color - and the parts of my hair that are highlighted blond streaks get a nice teal color - it’s a pretty mix that I get lots of comments on! It lasts pretty well, but I need to wash my hair with cold water to keep the color - I also re-dye with this every 2-3 weeks, but it’s so easy! I just color the bottom 1/3 of my hair with this midnight blue dye……I put my hair in two ponytails, put the dye on, then put the ponytails in ziplox bags, tightened with hair bands, and sleep with it on - then rinse it in the morning. I love this hair dye! Soooo worth the money!

Edit: PLEASE INCLUDE THE NAME OF THE OF DYE YOU ARE REVIEWING. This is much better (darker, more pigment) than the Amplified version, with longer staying power! I have yet to find a dark blue that doesn't have turn to an at the very least somewhat purple tone when using conditioner to cut (I've tried SFX, Adore, Lunatik, Sparks and Splat - not one navy-like blue in the bunch...). I always begin with a thorough bleaching (unless it's a root job - or just adding dark areas with Bigen), I mix After Midnight with a lot conditioner and apply liberally. In a separate bowl, I then prepare a small amount of Bigen dark brown hair dye, enough to cover my roots with enough remaining to work in to the rest of my hair - the conditioner already applied helps that part. I leave it in less than an hour after completing application (it takes a good 90 minutes to do, so I'm pretty much ready to rinse once I've cleaned up the inevitable mess - and the Bigen is FAST). I can't emphasize enough that the Bigen should be added to your hair at the very last, if not 10-15 minutes before rinsing!!! The company says it themselves: no matter what color you choose, given enough time on your head, all shades will eventually go to black. And it's permanent (but a powder, without lift!), so you would need to re-bleach if overly darkened. But, the result is worth it for me! My hair has both pastel smokey blues and very dark bits simultaneously... Love it!!!

finally went blue and yeah it really doesn’t play around just like they say. works great, looks great but also turns your body blue just while you’re rinsing it out in the shower. maybe if you can rinse it out in a sink you’ll be okay? otherwise… my legs are blue, my feet and ankles are blue, my neck, shoulders and every inch of my back are blue. leg hair is blue. all hair follicles are blue. fingers, nails and hands are blue. my hair looks great. getting all the compliments. bleached part is deep vibrant blue and my usual darkish brown hair is now super dark midnight blue. but besties… I am blue too ✨ you’ll get it off your hands and then touch your hair too much while drying it and they’re blue again✨use a different pillowcase for sure lmao. got it off my body during 2nd shower only for it to come back while rinsing conditioner out lol love it but I think I’ll go back to purple 🥹

I've been using manic panic for years, but I've settled on this one being my favorite color. What I like: -easy to apply: I use a "paintbrush" looking brush with the rat tail handle from sallys, it makes applying the dye easier, and I use my gloved hands to smooth it out and make sure it's saturated. -color: It is a really beautiful dark blue, and when it fades, it looks great! Some colors fade out in funky ways, this one turns into shades of blues and greens, it looks really ocean/mermaid-ish to me. -lasting: I've been going about 6 weeks between dyeing lately. It does fade, but like I said, it looks nice when it's faded. Bottom line: favorite dye brand, favorite color from this brand, I'll continue buying this until I'm too old to get away with it. ;) I'm attaching a photo from the day I dyed it, as well as a photo after about 5-6 weeks of fading out (washing 2 times a week and using dry shampoo in between). I only bleached/dyed chunks on the top of my head along my part, but it still gives me a lot of blue in my hair.

I love the color, but honestly I've never used manic panic before. I had midnight blue professionally done before summer and I wanted to retouch it . The color came out great but ,even with using gloves the dye was a mess and I had to use vinegar and a magic eraser to remove it from my hands and nails . It also leaves pigment and stained my wall and bathtub.

This was gorgeous when I first applied it. It is almost black in doors and very dark blue outside. I have naturally ash brown hair that I usually dye some dark or vibrant shade of red. I added chunky highlights using this product and had a lot of compliments. It faded quickly though. I thought that it would fade to a lighter shade of blue but alas it has faded to more of a purple/red (still pretty). I believe that it is because I applied it over dyed red instead of bleaching my hair before using this. I would recommend buying petroleum jelly to apply to your neck, ears, and forehead. This usually prevents the dye from staining your skin. I have used many colors of this product and although the true color only shines bright when you bleach your hair, I choose not to. I have had no problems achieving the look that I am going for every time I use their products. I usually leave the color on for a couple of hours.

Love manic panic colors. This review is for midnight blue. My hair is natrually dark brown. I had it professionally ombred. You can see the before in my pictures where my hair looks light brown/blonde at the bottom. First time I colored I did it after a shower with mostly dry hair (just air dry). I put it on top to bottom using half the jar and combed through. I put a swim cap on and left it overnight and washed it out in the morning. It actually came out more green than blue. It was a little disappointing since it was Fourth of July but I still liked the color. After about 3-4 weeks it started to take on a brassy green look I wasn't a fan of. I wash my hair almost every day. So I redyed it today but started with dry hair that I washed eary in the day. This time it came out blue. The pictures of me in the pink shirt are from this most recent dye job. This stuff is gentle on your hair and is great.

Omg I’m so blown off by this! I never though the colour would be so magnificent and long lasting. While buying it I was skeptical whether it’d work on Indian hair or not. But damn this is some good stuff. It even made my hair so smooth and soft. Love this product

Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Molte recensioni riportano il problema delle macchie dovute a questa tinta, nonostante questo l'ho comprata per testarla personalmente. La tinta effettivamente macchia, soprattutto il collo i primi giorni, ma niente che non possa risolversi: basta usare un pò di acqua micellare e si pulisce facilmente. Attenzione però: macchia lo smalto semipermanente, e non va via! Ovviamente va applicata con guanti perché, nonostante l'acqua micellare, restano dei residui di colore sulle dita. Al momento sono passati 4 giorni e ho lavato solo frangia e parte della scalatura anteriore, e il colore è rimasto invariato. Aggiornerò la recensione per riportare la variazione del colore. Inoltre, per quanto riguarda la quantità, un barattolo da 118ml è bastato per applicare la tinta sulla tutta lunghezza dei capelli, ma consigliano due barattoli per capelli più lunghi. Per quanto riguarda il colore, avevo effettuato precedentemente una DECOLORAZIONE dal parrucchiere, (ho decolorato le punte dei capelli, che sono scalati) e una volta scaricato totalmente il colore blu applicato lì ( è diventato verde-grigiastro) ho deciso di provare questa. Quindi il risultato dipende anche dalla precedente decolorazione. Infatti in corrispondenza della porzione superiore, risulta essere più scuro, con solo riflessi blu.

Me tiño de fantasia desde hace mucho y he probado marcas y muchoss colores. Desde hace 2 años mi marca unica y preferida es Manic Panic. Por su carta de colores. Por su calidad. Por su durabilidad que es mucho mayor que otros (he llegado ha tener un color, aclarando con el tiempo claro, hasta 2/3 meses). Por la cantidad que trae en su formato. Y plr la fiabilidad de los tonos (muchos otros no tienen nada que ver con la publicidad) He probado rosas, morados, verdes y azules. Que destiñe las toallas y el cuello? Pues claro, es un tinte temporal. Otros manchan mucho mas. Que no agarra bien el tono? No estoy de acuerdo. Solo hay q saber usarlo, el nivel d decoloracion adecuado, el tiempo de exposicion y tipo d pelo Que se va pronto? Para nada. Ya digo q cuidando tipo d champu y acondicionador sin sulfatos y veces d lavado puede durar 2/3 meses. Que lo mancha todo y salpica? Para nada pues es cremoso para manejarlo con las manos. Asi q como siempre le doy 5 estrella. After Midnight es el ultimo usado, en una base azul celeste y turquesa mas otro lado negro. He de decir que me ha dejado un azul marino precioso. No negro azulado. Se nota prefectamente azul pero oscuro y frio. Incluso la parte negra sin decolorar tiene los reflejos

This hair dye claims to be a semi-permanent blue hair dye, my hair has been dark green for weeks and will not come out. I have used Malibu CPR treatment and it has barely lifted. Do not buy unless you want a permanent dark green colour.
