Easy to use
Nice tool to have around. Worked well and I was able to fix my problem.

Some wired OBD-II reader, no subscription, just old fashion reading and clearing codes.
I recently had a valve failure on my turbo, and the car would regularly go into limp mode going up steep hills following a under or over pressure failure.Since I was on a road trip, I usually keep a 3rd party Bluetooth device in my car, but I didn't have it with me.So I checked amazon for a cheap and good OBD-II code reader and code clearer, so that my car goes temporary out of limp mode. This device does everything I need from my other 3rd party device, except this device doesn't have a monthly or yearly subscription. You just plug it in, read your codes, and you can clear them and see some more info's about them too. It's a great product and compact design with intentional purpose, I now keep in my glove box, unlike the Bluetooth device.

Best scanner on the market for the price point, tough as nails and communicates with every vehicle
I've had this scanner for 3 years now and it gets used very often between checking out cars and looking at live data, I still haven't found a single car this scanner doesn't communicate with, and I toss it around the interiors of my vehicles with little regard.Still looks brand new and operates as such, if you are hesitant on ordering this scanner, don't be, it is by far the best cheapo scanner you can get for the money, extremely reliable and tough.I also accidentally drowned the reader leaving it in the center console of my convertible car during a rainstorm (leaky top), the center console was filled up with rainwater and the scanner was submerged for a day or so, I thought I was toast until a week later I decided to hook it to see if it worked, and it still does like nothing happened.I used to have a $20 chinese scanner, it's struggled and failed to communicate with a lot of vehicles and was a lot clunkier than this one.Get the Autel AL319.

A good basic scanner anyone can use.
This is the second one I bought. The scanner is made in Viet Nam. The price is good but be careful. It's actually easy to short circuit if you don't wait to shut off the car first. It diagnoses what is necessary and is very basic. I have to say it works well and you don't need to run an app on your phone like some other expensive scanners. Definitely worth the money.

Incredibly Easy to Use and Highly Recommended
I was thoroughly impressed with the Autel AL319 OBD2 Scanner. This tool is extremely easy to use, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced users. The instructions are simple to follow, and the screen navigation is very user-friendly.I primarily use it to pull engine codes, and it has successfully helped me identify and, in some cases, clear erroneous codes. The codes it provides can be easily looked up for more information online. The ease of use is definitely the highlight—you don't need to be a mechanic to get valuable insights into your vehicle. The scanner's small size is great for storage; I keep one in my wife's vehicle and liked it so much I bought a second for my own car. While I do wish it came with a protective case, this minor detail doesn't take away from the scanner's incredible utility and value. I would highly, highly recommend this scanner to anyone.

Great purchase!
We originally purchased this just to keep on hand, but within the first week it has already proven its value—we’ve used it three times for car error codes. Excellent purchase. Very simple to use!
