Game changer!
This was a game changer! Pool became 100% easy to take care of. We charged it, placed it in the pool and have never had to charge it again. The solar is amazing. We take it out regularly to empty it and that's all we need to do! We turned our filter off about a month ago when we went away and haven't turned it on yet! It picks up everything and works 24/7. It reduces the amount of chemicals we used this year. Highly recommend for people who are constantly working on their pool to keep it swimmable.

Fantastic device. Surpasses expectations.
Excellent product. 5+ stars. Cleans the surface of the pool so well, I only use the bottom of the pool robot once a week! The pictures show the debris picked up over 2 days and what the water looks like every day! A battery backs up the solar drive, but I've yet to charge the battery after the first time I unpacked it. I've run it 12 hours a day, every day, for 3 weeks now. The solar panel charges it very well. No issues. I get up out of bed and it's hard at work. A pleasure to see. It also has a "radar" type of sensor in the front that tells the unit that it's about to hit the wall. Really very cool to see it slow down, turn, and go the other way. Also, the APP is a nice addition. It lets you program the run times, tells you the water temperature and the battery charge level, and how long it's been running. But it's never run out of charge yet at 12 hours a day. Hint: when taking it out of the water to swim, push the button on the handle to turn it off (push button on again afterwards) and pull it out of the water quickly onto the pool deck to avoid the clinging debris from dripping back into the pool. I am not getting paid to tell you any of this. I just appreciate a great product.

Set it and forget it
Despite my initial hesitation about the price, this purchase has been completely worthwhile. The smart app and solar charging capabilities allow for a "set it and forget it" operation, which makes keeping the pool skimmed remarkably easy. After using it all summer, I can confirm it works exceptionally well and has eliminated floating debris from my pool. A weekly rinse with a garden hose has been sufficient for maintenance. This is a highly effective and convenient product that I have no complaints about.

This thing never stops cleaning it's incredible
This is my second skimmer and probably the last skimmer I'll buy until they make a new one. A lot of skimmers when they go into reverse they spit out all the stuff this one keeps every single little piece of pollen and leaves inside of it and I don't know if it's the same thing with you but when I would use the net and go over the entire pool 10 minutes later it would be full of pollen again this thing works 24/7 when I say it runs 24/7 I mean it never stops unless you remove it from the pool and just push the button once and it continues to charge from the Sun the app is nice because it's just simple you just look at the app and you can see how much battery life is on it at all times you can navigate it around the pool if you want to but I don't suggest that I'd say just leave it in there it hasn't been winter yet I'm sure it's not going to be as active but it's still working good so far I've had it for about 2 months I'm really really happy with it it saves me so much timeThe price is good the quality is good and a word of advice if for some reason you have to pull a propeller off because some debris got in there which is very very rare it probably will never happen but you have to make sure that the propeller goes back on it's magnetic but even after you put the propeller back on you have to push until you hear a click if you don't you will continue to get a jammed propeller alert on your phone and the reason is is because you did not push the propeller all the way in besides that this thing is awesome . If you're looking to buy one of these go for the surfer two

Good but not wonderful--need patience
Update-7-25-25--After about two months...I'm raising the rating to four stars from three for two reasons:1.Aiper customer service reached out and was very proactive in trying to make me happy and resolve my problem with the unit.2. I understand better that to get a 60x15 pool you have to be very patient, as in very, very patient, like minimum 2 hours, better 3 hours with the pool filter, in my case, no more than 50% power. It will then pick up a good 85%-90% of bugs and stuff. It's what one could call "a process."For these reasons, I figure it's closer to four starts that three.Really about 3.5 stars.Having used this for more than a month in our 60' lap pool, there are ups and downs, much like life itself. The pros:--After charging via plug once, never have had to do it again. The solar panel keeps the battery charged at +/- 90%.--Of given enough time, it will pick up everything in its path.--Cleaning the unit is very easy and trouble free, as advertised.--The App is handy, with caveats (see below).Cons:--The sensors in front of the unit are only meant to steer it away from some obstructions. The big problem from my POV is that the skimmer turns from the pool wall about a foot away, much of the time. It also avoids corners. Unfortunately, these are where, by some law of physics, dead bugs and flies favor.--As noted above, given enough time, the surfer will pick up everything in its random path--and the path is totally random. It's the 50% of dead bugs and stuff along the wall edges and corners that are problematic.--The skimmer's path is affected by things like the breeze and strength of the pool filter. Instructions recommend running the skimmer when the pool filter is turned off. That's not practical, at least not in my pool. I found it to be more or less useless if the filter pump is turned on more than 50%.--Also, because my pool uses a Polaris 280 with boost pump, the Polaris and its feeder hose must be removed before putting the skimmer in the water. Otherwise the skimmer will become entangled in the Polaris' hose, every time, guaranteed.--At times I swear the skimmer consciously avoids stuff, turning aside at the last moment or navigating between two dead bugs and picking up neither. But that can't be, right?--Though the app provides for manual control, response is sticky at best. Sort of like trying to turn the queen mary around in a bathtub.--A final note, if your coping extends beyond the pool wall more than about half an inch, the unit will get scraped: when our pool was built, schist was selected instead of tile or bluestone for the coping. However, what makes schist attractive is its natural look and feel. The schist slabs have uneven "live" edges, not square cut like tiles or bluestone. While unique and beautiful, the result is the schist overhangs the edge of our pool by about a half an inch or so. While the skimmer has bumper wheels below the water surface to keep it from hitting the wall, they do not extend out enough to prevent the unit from scraping itself along the exposed schist.Conclusions:1. While I appreciate the tech involved and the fact that it does, eventually, pick up 80%-90% of the floating stuff, knowing what I know now, I'd wait for improvements in the technology that would allow it to cruise closer to pool walls, operate in a programmed path, like a better robot floor vacuum, and is more responsive when using the remote.
