Needed it for a small area in a closet and fit perfectly

I really like these shelves. If you want to get something to hold canvas storage cubes they work very well. I am using one of these shelves for this purpose. I bought a second one for art supplies. I put my supplies in a bamboo tray that I then put on the shelves. I like the distance between these shelves because I can reach in and get things such as pens, markers and paint brushes etc. out of the trays. I tried to use a shelving unit that had shelves closer together but to get my art supplies I had to take take the entire tray out. I like these shelves much better for my purposes. One thing I think is important is that these shelves are stronger than some other bamboo shelves I have purchased. I think this is because the slats are .5 inches apart compared with another set of shelves with 1.75 inches between the slats. Also the slats in these shelves sit on top of the board running side to side making the shelves .75 inches thick. My other shelves have the slats inserted into the board going side to side. These shelves have a nice clean look that I like. The other set of shelves look nice and has a more decorative look. You may also consider the fact that smaller items can fall between the slats. That is one of the reasons I use trays on both sets of shelves is because I am using them to hold a 'millions' of small art supplies. They are also, because of the 2 foot width, very easy to move them. I brought a new bed recently and I haven't really found a furniture arrangement I am happy with it. I am on my third try and my son has promised to rearrange my shelves again. I will probably buy a few more!

Nice shelves; I really like the material (smooth, finished well, no splinters, etc) and the construction of the shelves feels really nice. Everything lines up as it's supposed to, assembly was easy. Well, the instructions are extremely sparse, as they don't mention which direction the vertical pieces face (inward vs outward). Figured out that they're supposed to face with the larger part of the pre-drilled hole outwards -- this way the screw settles in flush with the wood. Maybe I'm just ditzy :). Other than this everything was easy enough to figure out.But the design is not perfect, the unit has a significant wobble side to side as there aren't any diagonal pieces to lock it into place. It doesn't wobble when you walk by, or are careful on it, but it will wobble if you bump it or are rough when using stuff on it, so just a heads up. Wouldn't put fragile, precious stuff on it. Working fine for my plants though.

It is exactly what I was looking for an looks great! It isn't the sturdiest, but that hasn't been a problem. I have it full of books, just need to be careful when moving it.

Great for my small bathroom. Love that there is plenty of room. The only drawback was putting it together. The unit was put together by me (loosely) and tightened up by my daughter who has more hand strength.

It does the job.
