It's better than the built-in light on my phone.
While this does give me the power to get a better light source than that found on the phone, my only problem is that the output of the light is about 5700k, which creates a "blue" hue around objects at a certain distance. It's great for shots here and there, but not for long-periods of time. If your doing a long exposure or time-lapse shot, make sure you have this charged for the length of your shot.I do enjoy being able to charge this on the go with the same power bank that I use to charge my phone; I don't need to be tethered to an outlet or my computer to charge this unit. I get about a couple hours with this light at max setting, so your milage will vary on your use. The soft white diffuser that comes with this is a little flimsy and can be easily misplaced; found that leaving it on is best; it can be "pealed" off if you need more light. There is a new version coming out later this year, you might want to take a look at it if you are looking for one with a more adjustable color temp.

Some things to think about
I bought this flash for the iPod Touch I use for photography. Unfortunately, the flash has to plug into the headphone jack if you want to sync it with the native app. The iPod jack is on the bottom. And if you're shooting in landscape mode, it's too far to the side. There is only a few 3rd party apps that will support the original iBlazr. (I use 645 PRO MK III - $3.99).It can be used with unsupported apps and without plugging it into the headphone jack, but it just stays on, doesn't flash.HOWEVER, the shots I took with my Android stock app were greatly improved. I liked it so much that I'm about to spend an extra $20 for the iBlazr 2 when others are MUCH cheaper. I haven't used the iBlazr 2 yet, so I can't really review it at the moment, but it seems to have fixed all the issues I had with the original. (Doesn't have to be plugged into headphone jack, etc)I have attached the photos I took with the phone's flash and one I took with the iBlazr. They're labelled if you can read my handwriting on the cards at the bottom.

Iblazr issued prematurely.
I ordered the iblazr online and when I received it was disappointed with the paucity of the instructions and the online app.To make matters worse, the switch seemed to be defective since I could not get the light to turn off at times. The online instructions were of no help. When I further investigated the online site I discovered that there were bugs in the ipad version of the app. No mention was made of that in the literature or that they were working on a fix. Apparently the iphone app was OK but not the ipad. I had wanted the iblazr for my ipad since there is no flash with it.I wound up sending the whole box back for a refund.I suspect that the iblazr I received was an early model. Clearly it had been prematurely issued prior to having been properly tested and the apps properly updated. The concept is brilliant and sorely needed for both the ipad and the iphone.I want one but do not want to go through the hassle of ordering online only to have to send it back. The Apple store is apparently going to sell it soon so I am waiting in order to get an iblazr in my hands and test it out before buying it.

Not as advertised !!!!
To be honest with you, the concept behind this product is good, but unfortunately the product doesn't work real well for it's intended purpose. I have an android tablet that has no flash. Taking photos or video in poor lighting environments yields useless results. When I found out about the iBlazr I couldn't wait to purchase it believing that it would be the answer to my poor lighting photo and video problems. Boy was I wrong. The first time I used it was at a dimly lighted nightclub. My photos came out no better than before I used the iBlazr. That being said, it's actually a great little powerful flashlight for it's size if using it for that purpose, but is a failure in my opinion for it's intended purpose. The silver lining in making this purchase is that you just never know when you're in a situation that requires the use of a powerful flashlight and the iBlazr fits easily into a pocket or purse to carry around with you. You're less likely to want to carry a bulky flashlight around with you and you just never know when you'll wish you had a flashlight on you, like during a power failure or when you may have to walk around in a very dark environment at night.

Great, but pricey.
Worked great, but I think it's way overpriced. I was looking to buy about 30 of these for a project, but given the cost, it wasn't worth it. I went with another lower quality product to save on cost. I only took off stars for the cost so, if you are fine paying full price, go for it.

Best of the best
This tiny little flash has increased the clarity of my photos quite a bit. I use it to take interior photos in homes. The only downside is that it does not sync with other apps that I use with my tablet. The work-around is to manually turn on the light to its highest setting and use it like a flash light to increase the overall light level in a low light situation. It recharges quickly and has been extremely reliable. If you use a wrap around protective shell on your tablet or phone this devise may not plug all the way into your device. I had to cut a slot in my case to accommodate the device.

Small but Terrible! in a Good Way!
This small yet so power Led light packs a punch. Was amazed when i switched it on and place it on Full power! it was stronger than our house China Emergency LEd llight.Simple yet so many applications it can be use with or on. Now i can have a much power flash/Light that i can bounce on the ceiling to have the "natural" light look of the pic.As a photographer, i can even use this on my DSLR, i mount it on its hot shoe holder (nice thingking) and mount it off camera, on a light stand, and viola! can use it for video too! very many application, imagination is the only limitation.

Works best for iPhone 4
Works best for iPhone 4, since the plug is closer to the camera. On iPhone 5 and 6, the plug is on the bottom so the angle is a little bit off..
