Making Miniatures: Dolls' House Projects In 1/12 Scale

book is ok, full of patterns in scaled size so one needs only to copy them directly. progressively getting complicated (need for a lathe, for example). lots of written (well written) directions, hardly any photos of how to do things - if you need visual, it's not there (patterns take up half of the book). the biggest let down for me was i expected to be able to learn and be explained how to make everything they used in their promotional picture for every project. at the beginning it is, every single simple thing is explained... however, as you get to the nicely finished rooms, the instructions are only how to make some furniture and the rest of the items in the photo is 'stocked'.

The furniture designs and patterns are pretty simple, or can be made more simple or more ornate according to your preferences. This book is definitely a keeper for me. Loads of great ideas.

Great price. Just a caution, I bought two books by this author with different titles and different cover art, but inside they are the same book. The price was so good it's not logical to send one back, so I'll donate one to the miniature group I've joined.

Great for stepping up your game and learning how to make great doll furniture of high quality. If you are already a skilled craftsman, this will keep you busy with lots of wonderful projects. If you normally buy everything for you miniature projects, this may get you to expand your skills. Lots of great ideas.

Great book for money , lovely presentation but overall found contents bit too technical & old fashioned, I wanted simpler things to make. I don’t have any of the tools they suggest you use either.

I really liked this book as it had a variety of miniatures to make along with making wooden furniture. There were some simple items to make out of wood as well as some more advanced items. This is a good book for any lover of miniatures and those wishing to find tips and plans for making their own dolls house furniture.

Very interesting book, pictures good and easily to see what to do. IN perfect condition clean bright and delivered at the appointed time. Amazed at what has been covered in this book. I cannot make anything but will have a go.
