Weekender Men's Trader Cargo Short

These cargo shorts are seriously well made. They are good looking, hang nicely, great inseam (not ridiculously long), wonderful pockets all around, great belt loops & enough of them. You could go golfing, boating, hiking & traveling on vacation in these shorts & look good doing it. Now, for the pocket description: many cargo shorts with insanely long inseams have outer cargo pockets that hit me on the outer knee joint. If I have a wallet in there, walking around it can be banging on my knee causing pain. Not a problem with these shorts. The cargo pocket being on top & in front of the thigh of a large bellows pocket on both legs, unlike almost all other shorts on the market, these shorts have a cargo pocket large enough to comfortably fit a men's overstuffed wallet on both legs. And then you can carry something large in the other outer cargo pocket on the other leg. Your phone, whatever! The inner front bellows pockets are generously sized so you can comfortably have your hands in your pocket, and a chap stick and a pocket knife etc. The design is so well Done you can stuff these front pockets & still comfortably sit. The Velcro fastenings on the pockets seem sturdy. So far extremely pleased. The back pockets are also excellent. The zipper operates smoothly. The material is a medium weight so perfect for everything. You can't go wrong with these shorts - I ordered 3 pairs after the first was excellent. Nice shorts for me. Had a hard time finding shorts as I didn't want the new style hitting the back of my knee every step. These are mid thigh on me like the shorts I wore in the 70s. Ordered size 38 got size 38 and they fit like the rest of my 38s. Very comfortable walking,sitting and standing. Not too tight as the waist has elastic in it. not too loose as to slide down when pockets have a little weight in them. Used them to walk, sit and stand 18 hours straight and simply love em. Well made and good fabric. Gonna get a few more to put away before they quit making them. Highly recommended for men over 45 as they fit and are the cut we miss.

Okay, I live in Houston so shorts are the attire of choice about 90% of the time therefore I have a lot of experience with shorts. With that background I can say without qualification that these shorts are the best I’ve ever owned. I like everything about them and I highly recommend them

I have been looking for replacement shorts for awhile now that have a 5 inch inseam. I am 5'9" tall, but my inseam length is 27 and 1/2 inches. Anything longer than 5 inches for an inseam puts the shorts below my knees. While on the person modeling them there is clearly 3 to 5 inches of height remaining before the knee, for me that is NOT the case. So, when i saw these i thought i would order them and see. Here is what I found:1. Hope you have a number 000 rope to use as a belt!! Seriously, the belt loops are several times larger than the area that they connect to on the pants and a regular belt goes for a swim in them.2. Also, the fit is a bit strange. Just feels bunched up. Not that it feels small, just that it does not feel that it is cut correctly. Yes, the inseam length is good, but the rest of it is not.I would not recommend these and I sent them back.

I have several pairs of these shorts and have liked them from the first time I wore them. VERY comfortable, lightweight but very sturdy fabric.....lots of pocket space....the "rise" is very good so the shorts ride a bit higher on the waist rather than "hip-huggers"......belt loops are big and in the right places for support...velcro closures work good and last .....I like them a lot and will continue to buy them.Comes in various colors.....fair priced....

I purchased 2 pairs of these probably 7 or 8 years ago and have worn them almost everyday (live in So Cal). That's a lot of wear for 2 pairs of shorts. The seams started giving, and material started thinning (as it should after that long!. I did not want to replace them as they were incredibly comfortable. I finally had to get new ones as I might have been arrested for indecent exposure as they became more and more threadbare. The new shorts (same size) are a bit tighter. I don't think they will last as lnog as the prior 2 pair, but it is hard to find shorts that are not below the knee.....without a doubt still the best shorts on the market for those of us wanting "shorts" and not "longs"!

hello, at one time, these were the main shorts available in the local west marine stores as everyday usable shorts. multiple pockets made these shorts handy and the flaps kept everything in its place. not too long and not too short, as cinderella, says...it is just right... in length and fit. those stores no longer carry this brand and online is one of the only places these are sold. room for belts and an elastic waist for a great fit...a great product and delivery..

Sizes run a little small, went up two sizes for a near perfect fit. I’m a little overgrown. Right now the price has gone up on these shorts due to being out of stock and Amazon switching to another vendor. I have four pair now but would be interested in some different colors at the $28 price if they become available.
