3M Anti-Glare Filter for 15.6-Inch Widescreen Notebook (Clear)

It does exactly what it is supposed to do - Reduces the glare noticeably and eases the strain on the eyes. The size is an exact fit for a 15.6 inch laptop. The installation is quite easy and probably even self-evident to an extent (the pack does come with an instruction sheet). Personally, I would prefer this to a stick-on-the-surface guard that might leave bubbles if you are not careful.The display gets a bit ‘toned down’ because of the matte finish on the surface (well, the purpose is to reduce the glare), though it is not much of an issue for me, personally.I wish it came with some extra attachment strips at this price.PS: Be sure that you check for any bends or so on the guard when you receive it – there is a good chance that it can be handled carelessly along the way and can be left with noticeable marks on the surface. (The cover is not that sturdy and they just send it in a soft cover and not a cardboard box.)

I ordered this product after checking reviews in multiple forum and watching youtube videos. This produce did not disappoint me. Before applying this filter, My laptop screen was literally like a mirror. I could see may face when I was working and this mirror like screen was causing my eyes to strain (most of us might be struggling with this). After applying the filter there is no glare on my screen.Pros: --> eliminates the glare perfectly --> TouchScreen still works after applying the filter ( have to compromise a little bit with touch response time) --> Easy to apply and detach. only optically clear adhesive strip at the two edges will be sticking to screen. No Airbubble issue.Cons: --> Size could have been kept little bit more than the size of the screen such that the adhesive strip is not on the screen.

It is not very convenient to use. we did not want to stick it. So we used to option where we can insert and remove the sheet. Since the width is not exactly matching the screen size of the laptop, it falls down often. Also, I feel better to view the screen without the filter rather than with it.

Though it reduced glare but not good enough to work. Even now I have to re-position my laptop screen to avoid reflection of glowing bulb behind my seating place. it did not serve the purpose in my case.

It is pretty good. Works as expected. No glare at all. Fits perfectly for 15.6 inch laptop. Screen clarity reduces a bit, but not really a problem. Got used to it. Stick it to the screen and the attachment strips would become invisible once the screen is turned on. I liked it this way instead of hanging it with mounts which would be visible all the time distracting. But either way, go for it if you need anti-glare.

The product is really nice however the courier boy while delivering the product kept it folded. So it has put a spot on the screen also when the light falls on the affected area it causes difficulty to see. The Amazon should consider using genuine courier services and should consider labeling such products with 'Do Not Fold' . If it wasn't for the delivery service I wouldn't mind giving it 5 stars.

3M Anti-Glare Filter for 14.0-Inch Widescreen Notebook - 16:9 Aspect Ratio (AG14.0W9) It prevents reflection of light to a good extent. It fits well on my laptop (DELL Inspiron) screen.I feel the price is little high.

The filter itself (the sheet of plastic) definitely works i.e. it reduces glare and it still lets a touchscreen work - one thing I was concerned about. My problem was with the fixings. You get two options - 3 strips of what is effectively double sided tape, or a set of thin plastic pieces which have double sided tape to let you stick them to the screen and slide the filter in behind them. I wanted to use the plastic pieces to make the filter removable, but they wouldn't stick strongly enough to the laptop screen and came off, even though I'd cleaned the screen. So, the filter is now stuck with the double sided tape strips provided - time will tell how long it stays on.Overall it does the job, and it avoids the problem I've seen with more flexible filters of air bubbles, but they could do with a different fixing solution.

I bought this as my screen faces a window and I had a mirror reflection. Since putting it on it has stopped the reflection really well and most of the glare.I found the method of fixing it to the screen very basic and I can see the adhesive strips stuck to my screen. It would have been better to have a full sticky layer to stick it to the screen like a screen protector. I originally tried to use the clips but they just ended falling off so I used the strips instead which have stayed in place.I feel the price is high for what it is though, basically a plastic overlay.The first one I bought got bent by the delivery driver and Amazon replaced it no hassle.

Does work.... as others have stated it does make the images slightly blurry and it will depend upon your screen - I am using a company laptop with a 15.6" screen but the resolution is only 1368 x 786 pixels so all the icons etc. are BIG but a 1080 x 1920 13" screen would be a no-no IMHO. My office has awful lighting, with the horrible shinny screened laptop, its' a better than nothing compromise. My personal laptop is 1080 13" and gloss screen but seems to be less problematical Lenovo vs Dell (co laptop) so its a bit of a risk I guess as to whether it'll work for you.

Purchased for my husbands work laptop, the product was easy to fit and works well. My only criticism is that the stickers that hold the screen in place seem a bit flimsy and started falling off within a week, some replacements are provided but it would have been better if these lasted longer before needing to be replaced.

This was not a great product, certainly not anti glare, in fact much harder to see the screen with it on. It is also only attached by 4 flimsy sticker which are very noticeable on the screen itself. I have given 3 stars as they took the product back and refunded so all ok.
