Silver Travertine Split Face 12 in. x 12 in. x 10 mm Travertine Mesh-Mounted Mosaic Tile (1"x2" Mosaic Chips)

It took me several months to get around to installing but i am very happy with the finished product! The tiles cut easily with tile saw. Pretty easy to work the tiles together and hide the seams. Several of the tiles fall off the mesh when i pick it up. The box could have been padded a little better because some of the tiles on the bottom were broken. These tiles have very uneven surface and can be a little tricky around outlets but i expected that and got the look i was hoping for in the end. When i first put the tiles up they looked very light and washed out. I bought a sealer and color enhancer to seal them and that made the colors pop. I love it.

I was looking for a split face travertine for a coffee nook project to add to my existing bar area. After searching the big box stores, I didn't find anything I was overwhelmed by, so came to Amazon. This tile fit the bill perfectly, or so I thought. The listing states 12 inch x 12 inch sheets. I understand that dimensional lumbar doesn't come true to size, and expected some undersizing of the tile sheet, but for those who measure precisely and attempt to limit waste and project cost, please note that this item comes in sheets sized 11 inches (height) x 11 9/16 inches (width). Also, please look at the picture where the tile sheet is held to a 4 foot level, as there was significant cupping to several sheets I received. They were usable, but needed to be cut into single row strips and manually straightened when laid in the thin set to lose the cupping deformity. Again, not a deal breaker, but required considerably more time to install in order to not have it look like absolute junk with gaps at the top and bottom. The thickness of the stone and variation of the stone is wonderful. The color is consistent, with good variation, and most sheets were semi uniform: I.E. no drastic color differences between boxes.All-in-all, the finished project turned out beautifully, but I had to make several changes on the fly, which took far more time than it should have.Overall looks: 5/5Depth of the stone: 5/5Sizing of sheets: 4/5Consistency of color: 5/5Consistency of tile spacing: 4/5Knowing this, I would order the tile again for a similar project, and likely will. We ordered a single tile in preparation for doing our fireplace surround. I have some Bondera adhesive roll which eliminates the need for mortar. These tiles are thin enough for our wall surface. I checked with the people at Bondera and these should go up easily.I will buy more when the time comes. These are beautiful and not too thick.
