RPNB Gun Safe, Quick Access Digital Fits 2-Guns

I could almost give this item 5 stars with a couple of modifications. First, when the safe arrived the lid would not open with the key. After a few attempts at hitting the side of the safe with the palm of my hand the lid would open. Installing the batteries resulted in the same issue. It would only open with a timely rap on the side when the electronic release activated. After examining it closer I determined that the lid was not centered causing it to bind on one side while the opposite side had ample clearance. I decided to try and torque the lid to one side when it was open and after a couple of attempts was successful in getting it centered. The same effect could have been achieved by wedging a screwdriver in on the tight side and partially closing the lid and prying it to the opposite side. It's something that should have been avoided with a quality check at the factory.My second complaint is that the foam padding is a little thin for my preference, but that's an easy fix.Pros:Heavy duty caseVery spacious and will easily hold two handguns and ammunitionI like the elastic pocket in the lid for cash or spare magazinesVery well packaged for shipmentThe indented handles on the side are an added convenience when carryingThe buttons can be silencedThe electric latch, while not completely silent, is much quieter than another brand that I haveCons:Quality control should have caught the misaligned lidThe foam padding is minimal, but probably adequate for stationary use.There is no cable to secure this safe although anchors and screws are provided for permanent secure anchoringWith the caveats noted, I would recommend this safe to a friend to secure handguns or other valuables.

I purchased this so I could keep my gun by my bed and to keep them safe from my kids. So far I really like it, it’s pretty big so make sure the size fits for you. I like how it self opens after you put your code in. You don’t need to lift the lid up you only need one hand to access your gun quickly. The buttons also have a quiet mode so it’s pretty silent getting into it. Overall I am very pleased with this safe!

The metal lid has a Gap and is not level when closed also the digital pin never worked even after reset it would indicate the code was entered correctly but never release the lid? I guess you get what you pay for this is not a bargain and if needed access quickly your out of luck I am returning ASAP

This safe meets my expectations in every way. Primarily it keeps both of my carry pistols locked and secure away from children in the house. Even though I could afford, just not a fan of bio-metrics if my life depended on it. My work laptop sometimes hiccups with bio and that’s enough for me to not trust it in the middle of night if I needed quick access to my guns. After I set my code, I also turned the audio off so you can’t hear it. Stored the keys in the long gun safe in the house. It’s plenty big enough for both my Shield and LCP with spare mags. As far as the batteries going dead, I will add the safe to the smoke alarm annual battery replacement whether they need it or not. Overall I’m very satisfied with this safe and the price. Btw, it came well packaged with foam protecting the ends, but did not include batteries which I wouldn’t have used anyway. Thanks RPNB.

But when I enter the set pin the kid will not open.I emailed the company and they quickly replied with link to youtube instructional video, It was more easy to follow and the safe works prefect now. Just want to remind you guys to use 4 AA alkaline batteries!!!!!!! I did not use the new battery as required, which caused it to fail to open. Excellent customer service BTW !!!

This is a very good safe, it can be opened but even if you can use the keyboard and keys quickly, I like to use the key to open quickly, put my pistol on the table is very suitable At a reasonable price

Bought for a Christmas gift so the safe has only been in use for a little over 3 months. The safe lid is now not opening even when correct code is out in. We have to pry something under the corner of the lid while entering the code at the same time in order for it to open. Looks like this could be a piece of junk. Was happy with the ease of setting it up and everything. But now I am so disappointed.

I am a new firearm owner and wanted something to lock up two of my handguns. This does the job perfectly. I found it very easy to program. This was a good first choice for me.
