Received yesterday-WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE MAKE THESE YEARS AGO? My study is furnished with antique sheraton desk & matching credenzas refurnished for lateral files. A beautiful room. However, I needed a small filing cabinet that would fit under Sheraton Desk (which is large but not real high). I've been looking off & on for years. Then I came across these filing cabinets. It slides right under the center of the desk and slides back against wall with plenty of room for my feet in front. Many buyers have mentioned the packing. I wish some of my pricey antiques were shipped AS WELL. AMAZING! Not a mark anywhere. This is not a filing cabinet for someone with lots of files. It is great for a kitchen with a computer desk needing storage underneath for supplies or bills, college or any other type of student. The files go length wise which some buyers didn't realize. I am going to purchase a couple of more for brothers work bench area. Great for tools, glues, nails, whatever. THE FRONT CENTER NON TIP WHEEL IS A THOUGHTFUL DESIGN ADDITION. I tried to make it tip-held its own. If I had children at home, I would buy white ones for play areas so toys and arts/crafts or whatever could be thrown in there. Another one just for soft toys & special play things not to be mixed with others. I'd then paint a design or get pretty repositionable wall decals so children would be drawn to put their things inside. Probably have children paint their own designs if they were of the right age. Slick outside can be given "tooth" by sanding. I'm too lazy for that. I'd just use good acrylic paints and seal with clear poly acrylic or mod podge. That way you can change designs at will. The possibilities are endless. NOTE: I have only had it less than 24hrs. If it does not live up to my 5 stars, I will do another review.

With the pandemic and WFH being more permanent, I finally invested in a home office set up: a proper wooden desk (no more particle board crap desks), a real steel case office chair and this slim filing cabinet. The size is perfect for my needs. It was packaged beautifully and arrived in perfect condition. The assembly was minimal...pop on 5 wheels, screw them in, pop on the file holder and pen tray...DONE. Its large enough to hold what I need it to hold: tax docs, car title, birth certificate, ss, 401k, mortgage, bank docs, passport etc. the 2 drawers easily hold all my office supplies including a ream of 9x11" printer paper, It locks nice. It also looks nice. I saw a lot of complaints about it not fitting docs - you have to hang your files sideways, not front facing, and thats in the product manual. I love that its metal and not wood because i can throw my hair flatiron on it and it doesnt burn it...lol. Great purchase.

This is a lovely, but tiny, cabinet with very clean lines. It came exceptionally well packaged so there was no damage on arrival. Kudos to the DeVaise packaging engineers. (We'd previously ordered another cabinet at roughly the same price point, but it arrived dented on 3 sides so went back).Assembly is easy; lock washers are included for the 4 main casters; a 5th rolling wheel is secured to the file drawer to ease its opening and prevent tip-overs. A wrench is included to tighten the 4 main casters; you need a philips head screwdriver for the 5th wheel.There are 3 drawers; we will be using the upper 2 for receipts and possibly paper storage. A pencil tray is included, and will fit across one of the 2 upper drawers. The lock secures all 3 drawers.If you have any kind of serious filing, this is not the product for you, as the hanging file space is barely 9 1/4 inches total. But do consider other products from this manufacturer, as their packaging means items are likely to arrive unblemished.

The cabinet was shipped quickly and as everyone else reviewed was packaged amazingly. Perfect size! Small and compact but still highly functionable. Some reviews were complaining that files do not fit...READ the description. They fit perfectly but as the description states , files fit sideways in the drawer. which is fantastic. There is plenty of room for everything I need it for. Now this is not meant to keep out burglars as it is a metal cabinet with a small lock. The lock is meant to keep honest people honest. So if you have roommates, kids or are throwing a party it will keep prying eyes out but if someone wants to get it they can....like with anything else. Also the smaller wheel meant for the drawer is necessary to keep the cabinet steady enough for the lock to function. The cabinet must be completely upright for all drawers to shut and lock to engage. Also if lock does not want to work, make sure to shut all 3 drawers completely and its all good. I LOVE IT!!!!!

I had a need for a file cabinet to fit into a very small space. This cabinet is just right for the job. Doesn't take up much room, yet spacious enough inside to accommodate my needs. Made of metal and is therefore pretty durable. Arrived on time without damage and did require some minor assembly which I was able to complete on my own within a few minutes time. Has a top drawer which I use to store office supplies (pencils, paperclips, index cards, batteries, etc.) and a larger bottom drawer that holds my files. Can fit standard file folders but they go in sideways.If you're looking for a small file cabinet for a tiny space then I think this may be your best bet too.

I am pleased with this file cabinet, the package arrived well packed. The quality is nice and much better than what I found at local store. The drawer glide smoothly, I can open and close easily. The size is perfect for me, and I placed it under my desk.It is definitely well-built cabinet, very sturdy but not too heavy, and I don't have any issue with it. They all functioning well, and I can pack a lot of stuff into the small space. I am thinking of getting another one of this. It works great for my needs and it is definitely good looking furniture.
