Say hello to my little friend
This little tool is awesome! Clear coat runs happen. And this de-nib file works great. Don't risk using a razor blade. I'm not a professional painter and I found myself in trouble with several clear coat runs. Started using a razer and sand paper, but got into more trouble, nicks and gouges, just awful. So, I decided to try this little file. Wow! It takes a terrible job and makes it easy. Well, still a tedious job, but it protects from gouging your paint. Just glide it across those paint runs gently and slowly. Take your time and it works wonders. Clean it frequently with a small bristle brush and it will last a long time. Make that dreadful job easier, it is a must have tool.

Works great
Removed drips and runs.Reverses to clean and go the outside direction of your left handed. Magnet will release but stays in place during use.

Pretty good.
Works alright but not as fast as shaving runs with a razor blade.

Valuable tool
I purchased this to flatten out some prior touch up dots that were built up proud of the surrounding surface, prior to having the car paint corrected. I could really feel it "grab" the high spot, and a gentle touch took them all down until they could no longer be felt. A gentle touch and patience is your friend. It will leave fine scratches in the area, so be prepared to have that cleaned up. After the fine scratches were removed, the touched-up spots were indistinguishable from the surrounding finish.

First impression
Right out of the packaging you can see the file is poorly assembled. Says made in USA, but it looks like made in china. Nothing is aligned properly. Hope it works better than it looks. Will update once I fix the crappy glue job and test it.Update: The file works well so long you use a light touch and keep it level

Secret is out - this little tool is great.
I'm varnishing a kayak, and I wanted to avoid excessive sanding due to dust nibs. In reading up online about perfecting finishes I found a comment about automotive shops that used these - hadn't seen it mentioned in any boat forums. I bought the 'fine' version of this, and it is great. A little practice, and I can shave off nibs with nary a mark left behind. This may let me avoid wet sanding entirely, or at least let me jump right to 4000 before buff and polish. I may get the coarse version as well - I suspect it might be better for small runs or slumps.

It’s good for the beginner.
Product is made well. However a razor blade or a tungsten nib block work faster with smoother results.

Herramienta perfecta
Recomendable 100%.

Must have tool
This tiny little tool is very handy when doing touch up paint or rock chip repairs. It flattens out the paint and prepares the surface for polishing.
