I tried using highlighter on this and it worked and didnt bleed through. So I decided to try sharpie and my ink pens and they worked and didn’t bleed through as well. Such a nice sketchbook, would recommend <3

The media could not be loaded.  I needed a new journal and this was exactly what I was looking for. The outer material is soft. I love the band to keep the journal shut, the clear pages without lines is great. It has a bookmark string and a pocket in the back to hold notes, pictures, or whatever you’d like. It also has a pen holder on the side, but that causes the back to bulge a little. The pages are good quality and don’t tear or indent easy from pencil, but you can see through the pages a little and most erasing can be hard to get off.Overall it’s a great journal and better than most anything else I come across.

This is a very nice, high quality sketch book, and I like everything about it except that the paper has a fairly noticeable yellow tint. I would not even call it off-white. Look at "Old Lace" on the Wikipedia "Shades of White" page for an idea. You can also see the color in the video answer to the "How does one use the writing guide?" question on this page. I would have preferred white or slightly off white, maybe something like the "Baby powder" color on the Wikipedia page. Other that being surprised by the strength of the yellow tint, I am quite happy.

Not sure what fountain pens or inks the person who negged this is using. I’ve used 4 different pens and several different inks with no problems. I’m using this as a journal, not a sketchbook, and I’m able to use both sides of the pages, with absolutely no bleed-through, even with my wettest pen/ink combo. I actually bought the journal just for the line guide that came with it. (I also use the guide for letter writing.) I’ve been happy with this purchase overall, as it got me back into journaling.

This sketchbook does indeed open flat which is a feature that is often advertised by many manufacturers, but is rarely true.The price (10.99) is far more affordable than other sketchbooks that share the same standard dimensions. It's fountain pen friendly at 120 gsm, of course this is predicated on your ink of choice, and not to overlooked it is also acid-free. All in all a good buy and a no brainer.

My main writing utensil is a flexible fountain pen. It really gushes ink and the paper can’t handle that. If you write with a regular pen or pencil then this is a five star product. The line guide is just a sheet of paper with lines but I’ve been using it and it serves it’s purpose.

Update: Seller contacted me shortly after and replaced damaged product with a new one. It's a very nice journal.Original: Came with a giant dent / scratch on the front cover.

...but I wish it was a bit smaller, maybe 5x7 in.
