Now we will be able to look at more than Mr. Moon!
My 4-year old daughter was always fascinated by Mr. Moon as she calls it and would get excited any time she saw him in the sky. After getting a taste of what it's like to look through a telescope and seeing stars in the sky with her little eyes, she got into the habit of asking nightly what she could see up there. To be honest, I usually have no idea what to tell her because the only thing I can identify properly is the Big Dipper and perhaps a planet or two. Can't wait until next year so I can actually use this to show her stuff and be able to answer her questions and not sound like a total idiot! This is a very easy guide to follow- and honestly my only criticism is that it doesn't give me information for this year! Great resource.

Forgot I got this in Kindle. Digital of the hard cover book I got earlier in the year. Quite of bit of knowledge. I am more of the tactile person than the digital one. I will start using it also.

Big disappointment. Partially my fault for relying on the reviews
Big disappointment. Partially my fault for relying on the reviews, not realizing they were referring to the Kindle edition, which is much different than the actual paperback. The paperback is NOT for novices... the author even says so in his Introduction to the book. He then recommends the eBook as an astronomical guide designed for everyone. I will probably purchase the eBook now that i feel somewhat suckered into wanting a bit more user-friendly version. Again, partially my own oversight but it would have been helpful if the reviews made it clearer that there is a big difference between the Kindle format and the paperback format.

Excellent Daily Reference
Very nice quick reference. I check it at least a couple of times a week. It is not comprehensive but it is a good starting point & covers the major events.
