not even close to 8 inches of usable length. i see that one reviewer has measured them at 6.3 of usable. even the whole length including the non-gripping leader is only 7.5 inches. I sadly didn't read that review before I ordered. I expected them to work the same way my 8" home depot zip ties worked. Guess again. A nominal 8" zip tie should be closer to an 8" usable length.they also do not have grippers on both sides of the tie, so if you twist it around some difficult to reach items and expect it to grip, you can guess again, again. I've been using up the home depot bag so know that those had grips on both sides of the band. well, looks like it's off to the brick and mortar store to get the right items. Good thing these are very low cost and can go into the recycle bin, so I don't feel too bad about tossing them.

hey hold stuff together, they do it really well.I have used thousands of these to secure just about everything and anything. These are the most consistent performing zip ties I have ever used. They hold up better at corners and only need one or two clicks to be secure. Other cheaper ties often will break with too much tension or if applied to corners or sharp edges. Just be sure to note that they come in several different Duty Ratings, from ultra light to heavy duty. The cable strength, flexibility, and of course cost vary accordingly.If you like these I suggest you check out their anchor plates. They use quality adhesive and have been a good match for these quality ties.Oh and Made in the USA, need I say more.

This is my first experience with ProTie cable ties. Over the years, I've used numerous brands but consider these among the best quality. They are very consistent with a positive and secure engagement. Worked perfect for securing the brake and derailleur cables on my Scott bicycle (see photo). For those needing the dimensions, the ProTie website states these Standard Duty (50# Tensile) cable ties are 0.19" wide and 0.05" thick.

standard zip tie. I need some to organize things while working on my truck, but don't know how long these will last in the engine compartment. Homedepot ties seems to become brittle in about a year.

The product is working great for our project. The problem is I ordered 2 packages of GREEN ties and received one green and one red.

The Cable Ties were great to use on a computer build I was doing for a friend and my new computer.. The cables were easy to slide thru and when you zipped to tighten it was quick with hardly any effort at all.. I like the mufti color no other then just to have a different color..
