The Acupuncture Point Functions Charts and Workbook

I am a layperson who has had a deep interest in Chinese Medicine, Shiatsu, and Acupressure for many years and although I only received the book yesterday I believe that the Acupuncture Point Functions Workbook is one of the best study aids that I have seen, simply because it is 'Straight to the Point'.Erica Siegel doesn't give lengthy descriptions of conditions which can take a while to read and even longer to assimilate, but reveals all the necessary information about the acupunture points along each meridian in as few words as possible. Yet the brevity of the descriptions does not in any way diminish the vast amount of knowledge which is given in abbreviated form. And once the reader has learned what each abbreviated description stands for we will have a weath of useful information at our finger tips.What I am finding most useful in this book is the association of each acupuncture point with the dispelling, dispersing or clearing of Phlem, Wind, Heat, Cold and Damp, or a combination of these, which I have not found in other publications on this subject. Also helpful is the reference to the tonification and sedating points, as well as the workbook at the back of the book which gives the opportunity to make personal notes.If anyone is at all interested in acupuncture, shiatsu, or acupressure then this book is a must have for your library. Thank you Erica Siegel for the time and effort spent on compilinng this book.

All major functions of points described and color coded. Fantastic resource for price!

for all those important details in acupuncture. it could be improved with different type faces thereby making it easier to read and remember. and additional pages in the back for repetitional study. none the less, it is a keeper.
