Keeps out the bugs!
I want to start, I've only opened it and tested it out. I've not actively use out in the field yet. I love the straps and net canopy, nothing feels terribly cheap, and the seams are sewn well, I see no holes. If you're not laying in it, it does flip upside down when built because its top heavy. Which you can use the rope and ground steaks to hold it in place. Overall, I like it and recommend, I may update when I go camping in the cooler months after I've tested it and see how well it holds up.

Nice design, little confidence in durability
I tried several brands of this same design and ultimately liked this one the most and intend to use it for hammock/tent camping in the Appalachian area. It sets up easy, is relatively light, and is obviously versatile since it can be set up as a tent or hammock depending on your situation. It's comfortable to be in, having the vaulted mesh is nice and spacious feeling; I've had hammocks where you run a ridgeline and hang the mesh and they have always felt a little claustrophobic. All the accessory pieces to the hammock seem well made.My main concern is with the hammock itself. It always seems to stretch down a little more than I expect, and the bottom material feels very thin and fragile. I feel as if it could give way any second every single time I get into it, and I always easy myself into it a slowly as I can. That said, I've been in it with my dogs, with my wife. Had it loaded down pretty well and it's yet to give way, or even make tearing noises. It just always *feels* likes it's about to bust, but it might just be a characteristic of the material; maybe in time it will earn my confidence. If it tears in half, I'll update my review. But since it's been performing so far, it's got my vote.

ha...escape ground rocks
brought this camping, was a bit skeptical because thinner than another i have, but worked very well. hammock has bit of stretch so hang high, tree straps great, did not try in tent mode, did remove poles to use as hammock flipped...worked just fine. mosquito mesh hardy... poles do not stay upright when hammock empty but great when loaded with person, poles stayed in place very well*just a note to fellow campers, tsa does not allow tent poles in carry on luggage, so if you are planning to fly you may need to check poles or you could simply string a line to keep mosquito mesh up. this has nothing to do with the product which i loved but tsa and flying. poles do fold down for packing.i had no rain but you should consider a rainfly/tarp to go with...and i found it great to have a mini tarp/ground clothi plan to buy another because perfect for easy pack, quick set up, and comfort

Cheap. Should’ve returned.
Netting ripped. Rods bent. Too expensive for what it is. Not sure of the weight capacity but I’m only 120.

excellent product, excellent value, small hack I made makes it even better!
This Hammock will be used on my cycling trips. In past carried a hammock with an utralite ground tent. There are times where the Hammock has no usable trees, so I always need a back up.In its native form, it does indeed form an easy to erect ground structure. But I found the low head room too tight. Bug screen is a few inches from face. So, I took the included daisy chain hang straps and used them to draw the aluminum poles closer together at their ends.used distance of 9 loops . Cut off excess.(IMPORTANT NOTE... do this after the poles are inserted into the hammock grommets. Then the tent fabric will create a stop halting the strap from going too far up the poles) .Doing this raised the roof line on both ends to 24 inches and narrowed the footprint. And as a bonus , it creates a " bath tub " side of tent fabric along both sides to ground.Much roomier for ground use !

Poles that hold up mosquito net are not very strong, other than that the hammock is great
The Etrol hammock with mosquito net is made of high quality material, it was a easy to set up and holds up to the test as I am a 300lbs. Used it the 1st time on a recent camping trip for 4 nights. First night was great but on the second night the poles bent and broke on one end, so I couldn’t use the mosquito net the rest of the trip. Other than that the hammock was great!
