Grey Scale Value Finder, Color Wheel, Artists View Catcher Finder Viewfinder on Lanyard with Measuring Tape Tools for Artists Drawing

These were a gift and she loved them. This is what she needed for her job.

The gray scale is a great size and the lanyard will be great for outdoor use.

I like this set because of its convenience. I put it around my neck and it leaves space in my kit. I use the value chart and graphed rectangle the most.

What a great idea! Features and my suggested tweaks and adaptations below.Lanyard--attractive, made well from good quality components--imprinted white on black with measurements in Imperial and metric, to 31.5 inches / 80cm.--good quality parachute clip holds the short strap for the cards to the lanyard--large breakaway clip located on the lanyard down near the cards which is more convenient to find than the usual nape of the neck location. This also permits you to measure in one long segment.--2 split rings, 1 notebook ring and 1 large lobster clasp (all black) give you multiple ways for where and how you want to add these cards plus other reference cards, keys, ID, etc.Tweaks: I have added more cards including compositional aids, see-thru gels to preview the effects of glazing and additional art information.Cards in This Set--bigger size (approx. twice the size of a standard U.S. business card) makes information more legible without being too big to wear.--heavy duty lamination makes it easy to clean and harder wearing.--Value Selector card looks accurate and has see thru circles so there's no tearing of the holes like my previous favorite.--Color Wheel includes all the basic information in a traditional 12-color wheel plus definitions. Unfortunately both sides are imprinted with the same info (probably so it doesn't matter how you grab it) when they could have contained more info (like the more accurate double primary wheel preferred by many professional artists) on the second side. Tweak: I plan to add my own color matcher and color formulas to my set.--Viewfinder inexplicably has 12 segments. You can cover one row to make it the more usual 9 segments for the very popular Rule of Thirds (a simplified version of the Golden Mean).Other--Weight as provided is inconsequential. I will still have no problem with the weight of additional cards.--I am using heavy duty name tag sheaths to house my additional cards which don't have heavy duty lamination.--User can also add a small pouch for other necessities including ID, locker key, etc. (as long as it doesn't become too heavy).

These tools are essential for artists, primarily painters, and photographers. Useful in composition as well as value determinations. They are of a size that makes them easy to use in the "field" and the studio.

This package includes a mini color wheel, grid , view finder on a lanyard that is a tape measure. A fabulous small , legible tool , convenient.Wow! Whenever I need these tools for painting they are somewhere else and I cannot find them , not expensive either!

The extra art tools are cool, but it makes it too heavy. The length is also ridiculous. I’m 6’2 and it was past my waist, I had to do some cut and sewing to make it smaller. The quality of the product has stood up to kindergarten, but again I have to say if you have keys and a name tag the added weight of the artist tools is too much on your neck.
