Good Value with Good Results
I really like these for the price they do a great job taking blemishes and scratches off pretty much anything. I made this chip carving knife and used them to polish the blade and bolster. I've also used them on jewelry and they'll take your old beat up jewelry back to looking new if you know what you're doing. I gave it a 3 for durability because they're foam core and when you build things a lot like I do they wear down quickly.

Great for Guitar (Especially for Fingernails)
Weird headline? Not if you're a guitarist that needs perfectly filed and buffed fingernails for playing Classical and fingerstyle guitar. These polishing sticks can replace traditional 8 sided fingernail care products, but with MUCH higher quality, durability, and utility. They're thin enough to get under the nail, soft enough to contour to the nail, and offer much higher buffing potential, allowing for a glassy fingernail tip, which helps produce a perfect tone from the guitar. The glassy surface also helps prevent damage by allowing the nail to slide over the string smoothly. I can vouch that these are better than the typical 8 sided buffing block in every possible way. They're durable and large enough to provide at least months of use, and cheap enough to replace when necessary.

The best polishing sticks around.
Very likely, the finest polishing sticks on the market. Great assortment of grits. Long lasting. Most importantly waterproof. The foam layer backing has just enough give to ensure smooth polishing on rounded surfaces. The course stick is 400 grid so not a replacement for emery boards or other highly abrasive tools. Great at smoothing and polishing plastic metal or acrylic to a high gloss. Long lasting. Highly recommended.

Good stuff, but durability isn't perfect
These have been extremely good and have withstood hours of daily use quite well. I don't think there's much I can add to how well these are working that others haven't already said but I have run into a couple of issues, mostly with maintaining their abrasive characteristics and some delamination.First, the higher grit levels (3k ,5k, and 7k) all seem to have lost their abrasiveness extremely quickly. I have been using the same side of each stick exclusively to keep track of how well they're holding up, and these higher grits all appear to have gone smooth extremely quickly (I know, they were all smooth to begin with, but it's obvious that one side has become glossier than the other and the un-used side produces a better result). These sticks have essentially been rendered almost useless as a result, and merely serve as a stop between the lower grits and a completely different polishing stick to smooth out the part after low-grit sanding. Also, for whatever reason, these three sticks feel far more rigid than the others. All of them are a piece of hard plastic with a small layer of foam between the plastic and the sanding surface, and these high-grit sticks all feel like there is no foam at all in the middle. The other issue has to do with overall durability, and this is where they lost points for me. I try to keep the sanding surfaces clean and will apply a drop or two of water to remove the built-up dust, and this has caused a few of the sticks to start to delaminate, with wrinkles forming in the sanding surface on the better cases, the worst case has the edges peeling off. These are also starting to behave like they're losing abrasiveness, but nowhere near the extent of the high-grit sticks.Honestly, I think they're quite good and have produced some fantastic results for me. With the price being a little high for something that is wearing out so quickly I may start looking elsewhere for other solutions, but for now they're doing pretty well.

Used these for polishing my guitar frets
These seem to work well for polishing the frets on my guitar frets. They seem to be holding up well to the abuse I am giving them.
