Great and easy to use, but pricey.
Luna Bean alginate was fun to use because it turns colors as it processes making it fun and easy to tell when you are done. It mixes well and does a great job of making the mold for casting. Good instructions for us beginners! One star off because I thought it was pricey, but then most alginate is pricey.

Amazing, one thing I would do differently next time…
This is an amazing product, the instructions say to wait until it starts to turn from pink to gray, and next time I would allow it to turn more gray. My mom and son held their hands in there for about 10 minutes and I’m so grateful that they were so patient. We used two bags just to make sure that I could get their arms in there as well. Make sure to have whoever you are molding togethers arms touching I said that the mold will not break. For my cast, I used two parts resin to one part number one plaster. But I don’t recommend it unless you are experienced since the allergen, it releases moisture as it dries. I had to polish the hands with all of the different tools. I had to make them look as clean as they do in the photos. The last photo is a cast I made from a mold of the original cast.

This is the good stuff
I've got to say, this product surpassed all my expectations and at an amazing value. The level of detail that comes out in the mold is superb and the process was extremely easy. I think I will be using Luna Bean for all my projects going forward. Highly recommend.

Amazing stuff!
Made awesome molds of my kids hands with this product! So impressed. Bought more then I though I would need and sure glad I did. Each Kids hand took a whole packet that I mixed in a plastic pitcher. The first one didn’t turn out right. Im sure it was our error. But the second time turned out so great and the third time even better. The only issue I had was some of the finger tips didn’t quite get filled with plaster (as you can see in pictures). I thought it was a total loss but took some plaster Paris and a paint brush. Added a glob and took the paint brush with water to smooth it down. Building it up and smoothing it down with brush and more water. Until I achieved the desired look of a plump little finger. This took time and a bit of learning curve but it saved the plaster hand. These are the steps this prossess took:Made moldsRemoved alginate from container and then filled with plaster of Parislet them dry overnight and then removed carefully from moldSand and drill any holes you may want while still soft (if you wait till it’s dry it will break)Let it dry for days... it takes about a week to feel bone drypainted with black acrylic paintMake sure it’s completely dry then dry brush bronze acrylic over the topCoat with matte varnish

Works great!
This mold worked perfectly. It provides clear directions as to what measurements/temperature needs to be altered in order to get the desired effect. It turns from pink to white when it hardens (which is nice so you know how much time you have left before it solidifies). It dries kind of rubbery, so it is easy to remove whatever you are molding! It also comes out of clothing/towels if there’s a spill and cleans up nice off of counters

Didn't work well
The powder changed to grey and solidified before I could thoroughly mix it, leading to a mold that had lumps of unmixed powder scattered throughout. It was unusable.I would try a different brand before buying this one again.
