Good all around sub that sounds much bigger than it is.
I can’t say enough about this speaker. I don’t think I’ll ever use large subwoofers again. In my extra cab pickup I can’t see needing more than just the one of these, I’ll have to do considerable upgrading to my mid and high range speakers and amp if I added another.I have the one 8” speaker mounted in box made by Skar Audio which needed slight modification to get the speaker to mount flush. I have that powered by a Rockford Fosgate Power amp, not sure the model but it’s the tiny one that has been rated to be 750 x 1, which is below the 1026 mine puts out. All together it makes for a pounding subwoofer that barely takes up space at all. Plenty of bass for a truck or small car easy.I’ve had a lot of speakers from the cheapest possible to higher priced than I will openly admit to spending on an add on for a car. This sub is really as good as any I’ve had, depending on the settings I can get crisp, tight bass, or can go more on the muddy side for the super low end stuff. Sounds decent with just about any genre of music from the heavy bass stuff and rap all the way to thrash metal and even country.Got to mention the speaker and box are heavy, it would do some damage if not secured well in an accident I bet.
