Fun and Motivating poster for all reading levels!
We bought this as a present for our preteen avid reader. We were hesitant at first because some of the books are for early readers and our daughter has already read quite a few on the list. However the beauty of this poster is that it is meant to grow with the reader. Upon opening the poster she immediately was excited to scratch off what she had already read, which was easy to do with a quarter. Then she proceeded to pick an additional 3 books from the poster to download on her Kindle reader. She keeps cycling back to the poster to mark off her accomplishments and then start on the next round. She says it was her favorite birthday present.

My daughter loved it!
It shows her favorite books that she already read, as well as books that she already wants to read when she's older.

Fun, Aspirational, Entertaining
This is so much fun for kids and adults. Being able to choose a book from the list (which thoughtfully includes author and year published), and, once done, scratch off the gold cover and see a picture - for that added feeling of accomplishment.I love that the books suit a range of ages and types, from "The Hungry Hungry Caterpillar" to "The Secret Garden" and the Harry Potter Series and everywhere in between. Many of the books have been made into movies, like "Treasure Island," so you can plan what books should be read in what order, and whether the movie might be a good option to watch first or afterwards, to build on the experience.Regardless, being able to display the poster, with the scratched off gold when the book is read - that's genius. I'll never forget how proud I was when my little reading caterpillar in second grade was extra long - and there weren't too many "what you should read" lists then. I love this. I've been scratching away with glee.

A fun way to encourage reading!
I got this poster to help encourage my kids to read every day, particularly with summer break almost here. This has been a huge hit so far. I placed it in a frame and hung it in their room with a selection if the books nearby. They both love choosing a book option and then getting a chance to scratch off the gold and find out what picture is hiding underneath. The books included have a pretty good variety, from several of the Harry Potter books to familiar picture books like Where the Wild Things Are. The list also includes some classics like Treasure Island and the Secret Garden. I like that is has a varied selection but with my kids being 5 and 7 it’ll be a while until they get to a few if the novels listed. I would point out that when you are scratching the gold off with a coin, you can easily see where it was scratched off as it’s a little discolored and that black portion of the poster looks slightly faded. It’s not a huge deal for my purposes but if this was to be displayed somewhere more prominent I think that may bother me a bit. For now, it’s a fun way to keep my kids engaged and reading.

Cute but “kids” books is a wide range
I love the concept of these “top 100” scratch off posters. I was especially excited about this one because I have 3 kids and I’m always trying to read to them and make sure they’re exposed to not just the latest but the greatest kids books. I think this list is pretty good but it covers quite a bit of ground and I’d say it crosses over into YA a bit, which is not the category I’m looking for in a top 100 kids books list. Also all 7 of the Harry Potter books are included which seems a bit of an overstatement. But still it’s a cute poster and I like the colorful images that are revealed when you scratch off a title.
