As an ankylosing spondylitis patient, it is a constant struggle to get the kinks out of my back. Several spinal joints slip out of place. Laying on a carpeted floor has been my go to. After a physical therapist recommended laying on a rolled up towel up/down my spine, I ordered this. It was hard to find. Most other products were much harder. I have found this to be much better than other more purpose-built tools ... primarily due to its being soft-density foam. It works both length-wise and as a hump moved up and down the spine. I've already recommended it to someone else with back issues.

It's been a gong show trying to find a proper 6" x 36" roll in a medium density firmness. I've tried several full-round rolls that all had great reviews, some even described the rolls as 'soft', but my experience was that they felt like concrete....literally. I'm not exactly dainty: 5'10"/195lbs and stocky/fit, but with degenerative disk challenges. Those other rolls were just painful and annoying. This is the first roll (half-roll) that actually lives up to its description! It's perfect for my needs. I like the concept of the half roll MUCH better, as it eliminates the balancing act and allows me to breathe deeply, relax, let my shoulders go completely, and just 'BE'...without muscles getting sore or crampy. There are also several other applications/exercises that use the half roll to cushion or prop that feel so much better than the concrete rolls. Highly recommend if you're looking for that 'just right' level of firm/soft :)))

I researched this product and watched several YouTube videos before purchase. The B..and..B and Sarah M..... videos are especially helpful. The roller is everything I expected. Very well made. I used it for 10 minutes daily for several days. My goal is to improve posture. Well I now have significant lower back pain which is not normal for me. Free returns, no problem? Un-uh. To return you must ship it in the original box, which in my case was recycled two days ago.I don't know why it did not work for me and it clearly has helped many others. It is a 5 star product just not helpful for me. So it wouldn't be fair to rate it low. However since it may not work for you either, I strongly advise that you save the box just in case you are unlucky like me.

I bought this because I used this to do angels with this during my PT last year. Glad I added this to my stretches! I am quite pleased!

Got this on the advice of a Pilates teacher. Used it when I had a toe injury. I could do more standing poses and I could do child’s pose. I keep using it even after recovery for a way to prop up my leg while resting. I felt the price was a little high.

I ordered this based on others reviews and they were right…it’s soft and I love it! I used one at my physical therapists office and it was hard as a brick and frankly made the exercises harder. I love this one, just the right amount of give to not hurt my back.

Used this at therapy and after using feels relaxed so bought my own and glad I did
