WINNER !! - Best of All the HDMI Switchers (I tried 6 brands from Amazon)
I tried: OREI, XolorSpace, CorsaHD, ROFAVEZCO, and Kinivo.I had issues with ALL OF THEM. You'll have to find my reviews on all. I didn't take any down even after being offered an incentive, because frankly finding one that works is a HEADACHE!! And I don't think someone has to buy all offered here to discover each of the nuanced ways they work and don't.My main issue is the way these handle MacOS and AppleTV 4k 3rd gen. And maybe it's not their fault and Apple's handshakes - which I don't know much about. All I can say is that besides not having an IR extender, this one works well with Audio and Video on both devices. And I can't imagine it doesn't with all the others that have probably less finicky handshakes or HDCP hairiness. So get this one, and save yourself the hassle. The video is autodetected. The audio is as well. (I set the AppleTV to 5.1)(PS if you have Spotify issues on AppleTV, reinstall Spotify. PS if you can't get the audio to all your channels on AppleTV when just listening to music, set the switch to 2CH. Thankfully this switch can do EDID from the remote, many of the others do not. But no IR extender, so you'll have to put it within line of sight with your IR hub/remote)______AND I JUST REALIZED IT's THE CHEAPEST ONE OF ALL !!! WOW !!! PERFECTION !

Nice product for RCA jacks
Productvworks great if you still need to use TCA type jacks for some sound systems.

Works well
I tried two cheaper switch/audio extractors prior to this one and they failed, despite their promise, to extract audio from an Amazon Fire TV Stick. This iArk actually does work as advertised. It flawlessly extracts audio from a Terk DVR and a Fire TV in analog audio or TOSLink to my older Onkyo home theater receiver. The iArk physical layout is very good in that the connections are all on the back, and the switches and indicators are all on the front. The labeling of the front indicators is a bit hard to see and correlate, but you can make it out if you try. The remote control seems powerful enough to work at 15 feet distance if you aim well. The instruction sheet has some of the typical poor English but is still better than many.I rated this 4 stars but it probably deserved 4.5 The only glitch is that with certain menu operations being performed on the Terk DVR, apparently the iArk output signal is briefly interrupted and my projector starts researching for an input signal. Operating with Fire TV has been flawless.Having tried two poorly designed boxes first made me appreciate the superior design of the iArk HDMI switch/audio extractor.

There is a learning curve of your not up on old and new TV entertainment components! LOVE THIS BOX!
While there is a bit of a learning curve because of all the settings available on this device, I could not be happier with the results! It had allowed me to integrate all my older equipment with the newest fangle gadgets available today! I hooked up everything when the box arrived and... Nothing worked... Haha it was my fault as I hurried to get it all connected. I made several mistakes which cost me a lot of time. There are several settings on this Box that you must understand in order to get it working properly however once you understand the settings, it's very easy to hook everything up properly and the quality of the picture is OUTSTANDING!I am in love with my 65in HD TV again! I connected my ATT cable box, my 5.1 surround sound stereo, the Roku, the Xbox and Google Chrome TV stick AND, my Bluray DVD player all through an additional powered HD switch box.The picture as stated is PERFECT AMAZING HD!I am truly amazed how great the picture is now, comparatively speaking!Because I wasn't able to get audio through all of the devices through a switch Box to work properly,I was able to run all the audio, through this box and it works great!Solved all of my HDMI cable, RCA and Digital Fiber Optic cable sound issues! LOVE this box!Worth every damn penny and solved most, if not all of my audio connection issues in one way or another!5 stars and well deserved!Occasionly if one of the hardware boxes or TV, "times out", from sitting unused for to long, it takes a little monkying and switching, to get the sound back but eventually with enough messing around I figured out in a minute or 2. Just FYI.It's not the box. It's the video component which is the culprit generally. Switching from one component to another and then back to the original one you're trying to get working usually fixes the audio problem... if you're going directly out to a television or surround stereo system I mean.Again, this box works great but you do have to know which connections to use with which equipment. If it doesnt work, try a different type of connector if possible. Love this box! Its fantastic!
