Small jug, compact machine, works well
I am very pleased with this coffee machine. My wife and I didn't want to allocate a lot of space on our counter for a coffee machine, and we also don't drink a lot of coffee or drink it very often, but we had visitors coming who were big coffee drinkers so we needed a solution.A full jug is marked with a number 5 and makes about three regular mugs of coffee, which is plenty for my wife and me. The coffee is ready quickly, and the hot plate keeps it hot enough. It has an alarm, which works well. You need to leave the machine switched on at the wall all the time or it loses the current time, but you can then set a time when you want the coffee ready and it will turn on and have it ready for you.The machine is easy to fill with water and coffee, the machine lid stays up when you are filling it, and it is easy to clean after use, with the lid of the jug even coming off if needed so you can give it a good clean. It comes with a permanent filter so I don't need to keep buying and folding filter papers, and it really is a one-button operation to start the coffee brewing. The only thing I would have liked would have been an option to have the hot plate stay on longer than 40 minutes, but as they say in the instructions, the coffee is indeed best when it is fresh. I have not tried it, but I suspect I could “re-run” the coffee making operation without water to gain another 40-minutes of coffee warming. The jug seems quite thin, so I have been very careful washing it: I would be surprised if it stood up to rough treatment. And I have also been washing the permanent filter carefully, because once that breaks through I'll need to replace it (not easy?) or start buying filter papers. But overall, this was a keenly priced machine that makes great filter coffee and is perfect for us.

Great machine for the price still working fine after 3 years
I have only had this machine for a month but used it every day. I understand it is not that robust and may stop working but for £20 ish, it is an incredibly worthwhile buy. Good coffee ready when we need it. Ideal for one or two people. I use a size 2 paper filter instead of the nylon filter as I compost coffee grounds and it simplifies cleaning etc. Easy to programme. Was not sure the routine would suit. It is great to wake up to fresh coffee. If/when the machine fails I will buy a similar programmable filter machine which is more robust that could cope with a larger amount for guests. Ideal for lockdown! On the other hand I might just get another as it is such good value. To brew another batch only takes a few minutes. Very satisfied.Update at two and a half years. Still works fine. I sometimes do not use filter papers. I am very careful about removing the filters before pouring as I think the nozzle is the delicate part. Very pleased with the purchase.Update at six months:Still very pleased, must be the best value item I have bought. Suits 2 of us every morning, we tend to just switch it on as it takes only about 5 mins to make the coffee. I do descale it every month and treat it carefully. I use the filter paper rather than the basket filter, no grounds in my mug and I compost the lot. I do carefully remove the filter before helping myself to coffee as the drip part looks fragile. I am very careful with the machine generally. Now 3 years later and all fine. I always remove the filter and its container before pouring the coffee as I think just pulling the jug of coffee out might damage the sprung device.

Nice design, makes good coffee
We are happy with this coffee maker . It's very stylish, fits nearly in any corner because it's small and unobtrusive . It makes very smooth coffee guickly, easy to clean , and the plastic is strong and not cheap, with a nice removable filter than cleans nicely . I only gave it one less star because 40 minutes stay on is just not long enough to do I sometimes have to reheat in microwave , but I understand that is probably because it might boil swat if it was too long because of being only three small mugs sizes .otherwise we are very happy with it ! It seems a little pricey , but then imma cheapstate and used to buying things second hand 😊 Thank you !

Just what i wanted
I only need coffee for two, the larger machines just waste my limited counter space. With this Filter machine I can put it way in an eye level cupboard in a second.Unboxed and all was well. Love the little jug. Still makes enough for 4 people if mixed with milk. It pours with no dripping. Lid easily removed during cleaning. It works exactly like the larger types, but now I need to use less coffee. It tastes great!I have not used the handy timer function yet but it looks easy to use.No problems found.Tin of beans for size guide.

Still part of our morning wake up coffee routine.
The media could not be loaded. Bought in 2022 for when the kids runs start. And like the smell of coffee in the morning. Makes a pot for my partner and I at 6am (5mins) and we have morning coffee and lovely chat about the day plans. Started off as an idea but now part of our morning routine. Preset the night before and wake us up in the morning. Can get 2big mugs. Perfect for our needs. We use filter paper as easy to clean, no leakages, clean maybe once a month.

Good for the first cup
The machine I have received is relatively simple to use, good at getting out the first cups at a semi-reasonable temperature but fails to keep any remaining coffee in the jug hot. The temperature falls rapidly, so requires me to pop my filled cup of coffee in the microwave briefly to heat it up a bit. I have to pre-heat the cups from the word go out of necessity or even the first pourings would need to be quickly re-heated. This Swan machine is appreciated. It was cheap and may be handy for people who need a fast cup of coffee in the morning. In my case though, I am on the look-out for a machine that will make and keep the coffee hot for a reasonable period. I might add that I add a little milk and I could try making sure it is room temperature (rather than from the fridge) to improve the outcome - perhaps!.
