Arcadia SMA80E27 D3 UV Basking Lamp 80 Watt 2nd Generation

This a great bulb and has helped grow our horse fields tortoise shell very well, you might hear a lot of people advising you not to use these types of bulbs but in my personal opinion my Tort is happy and her she’ll is growing normally I’d just recommend looking at the heat of the bulb and also making not much mercury is at the bottom as this might effect the quality and means the bulb isn’t working correctly

Always very good lamps, use these regularly and Arcadia really are among the best manufacturers. A little more expensive than some, but the quality is there which is worth it.

Great Lamp for a beardie. it made him a lot more active as its delivering all the important D3 he requires to be a big and strong bearded dragon.

I know these bulbs don’t always travel well but no issues with this one. With this type of bulb uv output falls before the bulb fails so look at changing after 6-9 months

I’ve been using these lamps for a good while, for my tortoises, and I have always been very happy with them. I would definitely recommend them to tortoise (and other reptile) owners. I change them every 5/6 months and as far as I can recall, none have ever given up on me before I have changed them.

We have been using this basking lamp for our tortoise for two years. Previous to that we used a red lamp but she disliked it so much she would not go near it and was generally unhappy. We went on line and found the arcadia D3. She loves her lamp and basks under it until it is time for bed and then we get her out and she sleeps under an old jumper

It came broken and had to go to a pet shop and get another one so out of pocket
