It is for heat only. Honeywell makes other models which are designed for full HVAC control (heating, cooling, etc.) This home model is designed to be used for hardwired and/or battery backup operation. Important Note: Many older homes and apartments have only a two-wire electrical connection for thermostats. Many new thermostats cannot be installed for two-wire infrastructure. HOWEVER, this Honeywell thermostat can be installed on a th In ree-wire set-up (without using a battery, if that's what you choose), OR on a two-wire set-up if you include battery power. I advocate including a back-up battery. My new Honeywell thermostat came with a battery. ONLY A PROFESSIONAL should install this product. This thermostat comes with a 2-year professional warranty, void if installed by homeowner. I searched the entire Internet, and Amazon had the lowest price for this Honeywell product anywhere.

Wanted a quality simple thermostat to control the furnace on my Keystone Hideout camper. I read other reviews and many had used it for this purpose. I removed the original Suburban thermostat and installed this in it's place. Easy 2 wire installation and 2 screws to attach to wall. Works as it should and has an easy to read display and an on off switch.

Bought to replace the cheapo plastic furnace heater control in my $50k trailer! I have furrion chill cube AC, which has its own separate controls and remote, so the furnace thermostat was just the hydro-flame cheapy kind found in old tent trailers. Two wires and two AAA batteries (included) and I now have backlit temp thermostat that shows current cabin temp and turns the heater on and off. What more can I say, if you have heat only thermostat, just buy this! Took 10 minutes to install.

This was an easy to install perfect replacement for the cheap one my travel trailer came with. Very accurate, easy to set and worked amazing. Smaller and compact which was perfect because the wall I had to mount it on was about 4” of space. Bright display to see at night or dim lighting. Went well with the trailer and looked clean and simple.

Just a plain wired in digital thermostat for a gas wall furnace. One switch & 2 buttons. On-Off & up-Down. What's not to love!!

I have a bunch of these. They are super simple and easy to adjust. The 2x aaa batteries do wear out so you have to pay attention. Great for radiant heat applications where you want to keep the temp consistent. Kind of like the old fashioned dial type but without mercury!

Good replacement for my travel trailer

It is extremely simple to operate, has a nice clear display. One temperature setting, so there is no programming to worry about.
