Skytech 1001-A remote control

Product was properly packaged and included batteries. This was a replacement for a 20-year old Skytech remote for a fireplace.Installed provided batteries into receiver and remote. Checked remote by observing remote light in both on/off functions.Removed existing remote and connected new receiver. Fireplace had not operated for over a year so the manual Skytech testing function had some difficulty in igniting fireplace. Issue was likely with gas valve and not Skytech.Pairing, receiver communicating to remote, required using the Learn function on the receiver and the process was straight forward: press learn button with toothpick and get one beep for clearing current code, press remote, and then multiple beeps from receiver when paired.Fireplace now works reliably with new Skytech product. Total installation time about 5-10 minutes. Instructions are clear. Would recommend. $70 was best price alternative and fit my needs.

I have a heat & glo fireplace and the skytech worked perfectly. Only took a few minutes to put in. I prefer the on/off switch to the ones with the thermostat

Replaced the oem unit. Have an older one that was original this replaced it and plugged in and worked perfectly. Easy to install. Battery seems to last a long time.
