Installation was a breeze on my 2014 x3m. The product is has a great feel to it, high quality product. I couldn’t be any happier!!

I undertook this product as a DIY as a guy that has worked on cars, traditionally mechanical and never interior. Here are my thoughts:Background - 2016 BMW X5 NBT system1) It works, (mostly- I am trouble shooting one issue with incoming calls and taking Teams meetings (audio) from CarPlay). But the touchscreen is awesome, the ability to switch back and forth between original configuration and Car Play is easy and it’s totally awesome to have CarPlay on the big screen. I love it.2) get the interior toolset to help remove the dash panels before you start3) I watched a TON of YouTube videos for my type car and other cars so I knew what to expect. That was a must.4) the QR code in the directions was not for my car (which is bad)5) the directions that come with it are bad (without the YouTube videos) and I would never have been able to install it correctly if I only had the instructions that came with it6) the product support afterwards is average at best. Solved some nuances, but they are in China and don’t respond until at least the next day (or later) and the responses are very canned and generic.7). I was able to figure out some of the configuration that the product support could not by playing with various settings and through trial and error have about 95 percent of it all working.8) It took me about three hours to install because I took my time and learned a few things along the way on how different switches connected to the dash etc.9) I didn’t have to connect the auxiliary cable to the unit internally but I did anyway and just hid it under the dash. Never know when I may need to connect it hardwire to the Aux jack.10) happy to talk through the install with anyone if you think it would help.11). Overall I am happy and glad I did it and for $275 dollars it saved me from buying a new car so that’s a win. Hope this helps.

This screen has costs me thousands of dollars in repairs and service as it caused the car battery to die because it does not shut off properly. I do not recommend this product AT ALL unless you want to ruin your car. I had it installed by a very professional local AV business and they confirmed it is a defective product. Do not buy.

Good quality at good price and works on X3 F25 2016 including 360 cameras and steering wheel controls. Very recommended.
