This thing blows. Like seriously when I have it on high at coolest temperature I have to put a blanket on. Also it is louder than I thought but considering the size it makes sense. Also please use 2 people to install and have something for the butt that sticks out the window due to its massive size.

It is big and need 2 men to lift for install. I installed it thru wall and it has worked great, I have 4 different brands that i have and still have in my home and this is by far the best of any of them.

Install was easy, the unit came with similar damage to the outside casing that others have spoke of. But in addition to that the front plastic grill has clips on the bottom side. 3 or 4 to be exact and all of them were snapped right out of the box.... It doesnt really need those clips to function... but opening a undamaged box... and having the casing dented, and all these clips broken... and some sound issues i speak to below... its just to much for a unit of this price.Unit works really well. its not super loud, and very cold..My issue is we ran it for only an hour the first day. and then turned it on the next day and it randomly makes clicking sounds as if something is stuck inside somewhere..... I understand this may not be an issue with the unit and likely just a very precise piece of debris from outdoors fell inside overnight.... maybe....Eventually I will get around to pulling it back apart (fairly lengthy process) and figure out what is going on.Between that, the damage, and semi unclear instructions its just ALOT right up front..... Again it seems to work great so far... I would return for another, but removing it from the window, repackaging and dealing with the weight of it and everything just isnt worth it since its technically working.

We have a home built in the early 1900's and needless to say not much insulation. It keep my 1st floor nice and cool with not much noise. Well worth the price.

This air conditioner works great its not that noisy and cools my living room and kitchen well I have an open concept so it circulate well.

The warranty card provides an online web address to register the product. However, www.emersonquietkool.com DOES NOT EXIST ? ? ? ? ?. This does concern me about my choice.

It cools my bedroom farely well and its ok noisewise. Not very loud at all. Moderate!There is a learning curve because you do have to remove the chasis from the actual air conditioner unit inside in order to install the top and bottom brackets and the two sliding window insulation which don't come pre-installed. That was totally unexpected and had i known that, I wouldn't had bought this. It took some work and the manual is old cheap newspaper print, in black and white and and not so clear. Very poorly shot pics. This thing is heavy. So you will need help pulling the ac unit out from the chasis and to mount up on the window. My wife wasn't a happy assistant and i can't blame her but she was all I had. Lol!Economy mode was annoying. It kept turning on and off intermittently way to fast and constantly. I just keep it off so it runs all the time. So not sure if i can call this energy efficient in the long run but its cold as fk!

I live in an area that is extremely hot in the summer and I don't have any shade near my home. The Emerson Quiet Cool is the first window unit that has ever made my home comfortable. It works perfectly and is cost effective. I am delighted with my purchase.
