Sturdy and Easy to Use
I just installed the bed rails this evening and after a fair amount of huffing and puffing and cussing and dropping them on my feet the rails are installed. It's not that they're hard to install; the instructions are not clear. It took me a while to understand what the drawing showed. Then I had a problem that other reviewers have mentioned: the rail wobbled. The problem was that I took the plastic collar off the screw so I didn't get a tight fit. Take the collar off the screw then put it back on when you stick the bolt through the clamp. Tighten it and you'll get a nice, unwobbly fit.Installation venting out of the way, the rails are sturdy and work very easily. They are just right for my husband to use to help me roll from side to side and sit up on the side of the bed.

Works great with Invacare electric hospital bed
We were thrilled to be given an electric hospital bed instead of a manual one, but the bed did not have rails. This Drive product was a great price compared to other rails, came as a PAIR, was easy to install, and has functioned great for a week. Instructions are crummy so google a youtube video for how to assemble the knob to the rail and then bed.

Fantastic product terrible instructions
This is currently on my hospital bed. I have a seizure disorder and mobility issues. these (with additional padding of course) are a wonderful purchase at a great price. I don’t fall out of bed during seizures but I can get out of bed with assistance when I need to / want to.That said I wouldn’t suggest this to keep someone in bed who roams. (You know to keep them safe from sleep walking or falling while others sleep ect...) The rail is enough to prevent someone from falling accidentally, but it’s not meant to be a restraining device... it’s only a bit less than half the bed...I’ve not tried to lower the bed rails because it’s really unnecessary.I only gave it 4 stars because of installation process. The instructions deserve 0 stars! Thank goodness my spouse found a YouTube video!

WARNING: YOU CAN NOT RETURN EVEN THOUGH AMAZON STOCK PRODUCT AND PRIME
The written description says BROWN, and they are BLACK. Two different type hook ups for the bed with the different colors. Will not work and now stuck with. I thought I was safe with an Amazon sold products. Must be changing policies make sure you double check everything now. Do not assume return with Amazon sold products or prime anymore. This is the first problem I have had with Amazon not accepting returns of their product.Adding to my original review and adding more stars. Amazon made it right in a timely and professional manner. I appreciate the service. This item is considered a "health item" and as such can not be returned. So before ordering make sure the BLACK rail style is the one you want. They are new, two in a box, and a good buy. The hooks are different than the brown vein. When I have time I will upload pictures for everyone.

Made for older brown hospital beds,
I am a partner and co-owner of an in-home private duty nursing business. The state I currently reside in recently passed a law that drastically restricts or entirely prohibits the use of bed rails with patients. The new law even applies to Hospice care. I have worked in healthcare long enough to be able to learn/identify which brands/manufacturers make quality/cost effective medical equipment, PPE, etc. A patient of mine with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with for 3+ years now, was put on Hospice recently. She cannot function Mentally or physically without bed rails. Years of research and experience lead me to this product. These rails are heavy-duty, high quality, easy to install/remove/adjust position, & cost effective.

Well made and easy to install.
Placed one on the back side of both my parent's hospital beds at the care facility. They use them to secure the bed remote control and also as an aid to turn over. Would work fine on front too if falling out of bed was a concern.
